Maxime Raynaud

Doing this in less than 20 games of experience is very impressive and i love that hasn’t been in garbage time or in the month of April where everyone knows the season is over. You can’t gloss over these performances or put an asterisk by it, that’s for sure. He’s so skilled!

I told y'all on draft day that Maxime would do great things for the Kings!!! Whether y'all listened to me, or thought I was just throwing a bunch of random words together is up to you, but none of y'all can deny that I never said it!!! :p:p:p

Did you get Keon though? Jk. Good job, mate.

Any questions?

I haven’t caught many games lately, only watching the end of the last night’s game. But how has Maxime’s DEFENSE been?

That’s the real key IMO.

The KINGS have found skilled offensive players during the Vivek era — they just can’t seem to find many, if any, that are equally good on the defensive end.

Erratic with good and bad moments at defensive end, a bit undersized because of wingspan, the effort is never in question.

Pretty bad, but he does try hard and being legit 7'1 with a huge standing reach just helps by being in the way a lot of the time.

I also don't really care right now if he's bad on D? Keegan was awful on D as a rookie and look how that's developed the last few years. Rookies that can drop 29-11 in a game and do this (I'll repost this here) are absolutely worth keep seeing what they can turn into

Basically since he's become a full-time player in the last 8 games:

28.1 MPG
16.3 PPG
7.5 RPG
1.6 APG
45.5% from 3 (1.4 3PA)
62.1% TS
21.7% USG

He's got tremendous feel in the PnR and can finish around the rim with both hands with great touch. Clingan is an excellent defender and Max took it right to him all game.

He's a tricky eval, but I think it's pretty clear we got a 2nd round hit on our hands. He's certainly an NBA player and he's certainly better than Drew Eubanks, which is a pretty big step 1 for his career

He's for real in the PnR. Like a legit good roll man/finisher.

The defense is what it is right now. Sengun took his lunch, but he was able to fight back a couple times and especially in crunch time, held him off for a few boards. Just going to take getting more and more reps vs these elite bigs and time in an NBA weight room.
