DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks will be without their main post presence for at least the next two weeks.
The Mavericks announced Tuesday that center Erick Dampier will be out two to three weeks with a stress fracture in his right foot.
The 6-11 Dampier injured his foot at Golden State on February 15 and missed the Mavericks' game at Phoenix two days later, their final contest before the All-Star break.
Dampier, whom Dallas acquired from Golden State in the offseason after failing to land Shaquille O'Neal, has averaged 9.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.29 blocks in 48 games.
At 35-16, the Mavericks are five games behind the league-leading San Antonio Spurs in the Southwest Division and are fourth in the Western Conference.
