Martin: All-star material?

I think we all know how irrelevant that is when it comes to the All-Star game. How many times has a guy who hasn't played a single game been voted in as an All-Star?

As a STARTER maybe...but that's a completely different thing that is not necessarily correlated with talent. When it comes to coaches choosing RESERVES (which is fair to say will probably be Martin's best bet to attend the game), games played is a factor. If the argument is being made that Martin should qualify on the basis of his scoring average, then the effective counterargument is that his scoring average does not even qualify to be among the leaders. If he cannot officially be considered one of the top scorers this season, then he better have done something else damn extraordinary to make a case for All Star recognition this season.
