marc stein's NBA Power Rankings

"These very young Kings will definitely be bigger with Cousins and Dalembert, but don't bank on anything more than marginally better yet. Tyreke and Cousins, as a franchise duo, have some questions to answer."

I can understand if he thinks the Kings are still a few years away, but #29? stein even questions the Tyreke + DeMarcus as a future franchise duo. This guy hasn't changed at all.

okay, this was already discussed under the "What Are Your Expectations" thread, but I am going ot leave this open just as the season's first Power Rankings thread. I think we should establish a consistent weekly power rankings thread this season. Mayhap establish a power rankings guru who will take responsibility for it. Slim comes to mind. :)

29th are you kidding me? We finished better than 29th last year, got better over the summer, and had better summers than some of our close competition and we drop to 29th? Gimme a break

Ya, my thoughts too.

We had one of the best drafts in the league and didn't get ourselves into insane debt by overpaying someone. I don't expect us to be 10th, but somewhere about 29th!

putting us behind the nets, pistons, warriors, and cavs is just insulting. but can't complain too much- we've still got a lot left to prove on the court

This. Seriously.

Our team got considerably better this offseason. Barring injuries, there's no way we win less games this year than we did last year. Bookmark it.

I would love to hear his response when some Kings fan put him in his place telling him this stuff.. looks to me like he just didn't do his homework/research.

Even some lakers station guys acknowledged the Kings are getting better this off season. Anyone with any remote knowledge about the NBA knows we are better than #29. This further proves my suspicion of stein having an agenda against the Kings as his work has frequently been negative whenever he writes anything about the Kings.
