Mark Jones turns 62 early next season. Hubie Brown his new likely ESPN on-air partner will turn 90 in a month. Welcome to getting older meets the already really old. The inexplicable cliches they both like to repeat over and over should make it an entertaining paring.

I look at Mark being able to do more Kings games as a PROMOTION, instead of a demotion. Being able to call more games of the next "Greatest Show on Court" is definitely an upgrade for any announcer!!!

Hopefully it doesn't mean less Draper though. Drapers style is better for a home broadcast team IMO. Mark is national style all the way and definitely one of the best. There's certainly an art to being a tolerable local call person that goes against almost everything Jones is good at.
