Maloofs picking fight with Phil Jackson?

If the Maloofs went as far as sent a lawyer to 'confiscate' a tape this means they are filing for relocation. If not, the comments of Phil Jackass wouldn't have mattered. The drama continues.

-Cheers.

That's kind of what I was thinking too. Then again, that conclusion is based on logic, something the Maloofs don't seem to have an abundance of.

Didn't the Maloofs say they would make a decision within the next 48 hours two days ago? I swear they are just doing this for attention, whether it be positive or negative.

Or they could be trying to gather info to see if they think they have a case to sue the NBA. If they can't get enough now they may not file thinking they would lose a lawsuit too.

I think the Maloofs felt the need to burn more of their cash to send a lawyer on a fruitless task to get some audio that is already on a public website.

The thing is, if they decide to sell if they will be stuck in Sac, than what do they have to lose if they file? It doesnt cost them anything, and you dont KNOW how the owners will vote until they vote. I'd feel alot better about it if it didnt get to that point, but ... why wouldnt the Maloofs file if that is how they are thinking? One last hail mary.

Because they probably know the relocation fees will be more than they can pay. I recall about a month ago, a "source close to the team" said they would only file if the relocation fee would be under 50 million. It's pretty clear now that even if they somehow got the votes, the fee would be well over 50 million.
