Magic Johnson to help with funding new sacramento sports complex...

He made an announcement at the Ultra Lounge in downtown Sacramento while he was visiting, that he (Magic) will help fund a new arena in Sacramento.

Thoughts?

He can bring other lanes of financial benefits as well, hes kind of a big deal isnt he? lol

I would love to see a link. Anyone offering to help finance an arena, even someone named Bud Smith, is welcome but the name Magic has a ripple effect that may draw in others. He'd also probably want a cinema complex built nearby.

As far from what I read he wants to be a player in funding the arena, he made the announcement personally in Sacramento, hes ready to partner up with Kevin Johnson and get this done. He's helped fund a lot of successful business ventures (Up In Smoke Tour) lol
He has the money and leverage to get others involved.

"What Mayor Johnson is talking about is making the arena a destination point for all of you. Where he's driving not only an arena, but an entertainment corridor that you can go out and have a good time at night. It will be a mixed use of things happening so it drives everybody back downtown. We don't want you to leave. We want you to stay here and spend your money and also provide jobs to those who need jobs."
