Looking Back: interesting read on the 2004 draft

Kevin Martin was a guy nobody heard of and the guy Jay Bilas said was going to be the biggest bust of the draft was Josh Smith.
The Hawks take high schooler Josh Smith as Bilas rips the pick to shreds: "If you had to pick which guy was most likely to be a bust in the first round, it would be this guy. He has no right hand and he can't shoot." That's followed by poor Smith having to defend himself to Stu Scott, capped off by a phenomenal exchange:
Nice job outta you, Bilas.

Of course, I'm not sure if Simmons did much better, with his projections of Deng as a "solid fifth wheel for a contender some day," Iguodala as an "8-man rotation guy," and also called Orlando dumb for taking Dwight F. Howard over Chukwuemeka Okafor...

I just love looking back at these things.
