Let's push Nike to make a Team USA Cousins Jersey

Nike already has a couple "Authentic" USA jerseys on their website. (Kyrie Irving and Durant). And at $120, it is much more reasonable than what Adidas charges for the authentic NBA jerseys , which Adidas continues to ruin, but i digress.

My fear is that they will only produce the jerseys they think will sell. Like Irving, Rose, Davis. and of course not Sacramento players. So here's what we should all do, show them that a DMC jersey will sell!

-Go to Nike.com
-Go to the bottom and click on "Contact us"
-Click on "Chat live with a Nike Expert" and proceed to chat with a Nike rep
-Ask if they will be making a Team USA DeMarcus Cousins jersey and tell them you want to buy it
-They will tell their operations team about the inquiry. Hopefully convincing Nike to produce them

I did - got a bay area rep and she said she'd let the design team know.

Lori: I am sorry but at this time I am not finding anything on Nike.com.
Lori: I can suggest checking Sports Authority or Dick's Sporting Goods.

LOL! The West Coast Nike workers must know more than the East Coast workers. I tried but y'all on the West Coast are gonna have to do the work to make it happen.

Just try again, you will get a different person. Ask if they have any idea if they will be selling an Authentic USA Cousins jersey and if not could they please submit the feedback that you want to buy one
 
i saw on twitter that @NikeStore replied to someone and said they would not be selling any more USA jerseys besides the ones they already had on the site.

Not sure how that will work with Nike producing the USA uniforms/apparel and Adidas doing all of the NBA jerseys and apparel and everything at the Kings team store

I'm more than happy to let the Kings brass worry about the details like that now that we know they are looking into it. At least they are trying! We'll see what happens. I'm not going to worry about it in the meantime.....

I'm not sure what "copyright" issues you could be referring to. Nike is producing the jerseys, so I'm pretty sure they've got all the related marketing rights. I'm also pretty sure the NBA has made sure there's no conflict with the individual players' teams as far as Team USA jersey marketing goes. The team store may carry Adidas merchandise because of their NBA contracts but they're not precluded from carrying merchandise that doesn't conflict with the Adidas brand.
 
True but do you really think we can talk Nike into making jerseys for us? Because im not so sure we can. And we certainly can't get Adidas to do it because that's where the issues would come up
 
Nike currently has a contract to manufacture and distribute the USA national team, along with other sport activities, until 2017 I believe. You can find this information online on nike's corporation website. With that being said, there would be no conflict when producing these jerseys.

It costs Nike very little to customize those jerseys. If there's a market for a particular player's jersey, there's no reason on earth they wouldn't make every effort to fill the need.
 
Good point. No matter what happens it's awesome that the ownership is working on it and we will have jerseys to purchase soon!
