OK, so expectations are officially lowered. Only the Wolves are ranked lower.....

I personally don't care for power rankings. Too much existential vomit for anything other than the top 10-or-so teams.

We all have a pretty good idea of who is good and who is not. We all have a pretty good idea of where we fit in. For me, we sit somewhere between last place and the 8th seed in the west. Where exactly doesn't really matter. We are rebuilding, we have an exciting young coach and a small handful of exciting young players.

I'm just going to enjoy this season for what it is and I will try not to stress too much on what it is not.
 
No way are we worse than the Clippers and their injuries...and I'd actually expect more outta the Wolves this year. Either way I don't think Power Rankings should even exist before the season starts anyway, since its pretty much how teams stack up on paper. If everything was based this way, would the Rockies have made it as far as they did? Don't think so...
 
Yeah, that seems pretty fair. The Clips may have needed a little last-second boost from the refs to clinch the win the other day, but we still had Bibby then. They have no PF, really, but the Caveman and others can grab some boards, and their backcourt is packed: Maggette, Cassell, Knight, Mobley, Dickau... Livingston is up and around, and even sneaking the occasional dunk. He'll probably be back in action soon after Bibby is.

And even when they have no PF, is Al Thornton really any worse than KT?

Yeah, I can see the Clips having the edge on us this year.

Mayhap. I think the Burns one might be a little closer to accurate. Especially after Ron gets back. So maybe here we are closer to the 5th worst team in the league. Yay. ;)

As an aside, and in complete I told you so fashion, I would like everyone to observe the Portland TrailBlazers as they blow right past us after their complete REBUILD. Hell, they've done it so well it might not matter if we ever get a clue or not with them ready to dominate the West for a decade. Maybe we should just keep on wasting our capspace on MLE junk until about 2020 or so when that juggernaught is finally slowing down.

With all the injuries and stuff we have this year we probably are getting a top 5 pick whether we choose to rebuild or not.
