Well it's not taking needs into account so I know they're not saying that's who the kings would really pick, but I like batum it's just he's a gf and we really don't need that. Would rather get Conley or Hawes.

any chance we can get another pick late in the first round? with so many solid picks, theres a few gems to be picked up late in the draft that could turn out very well.

Miami, Atlanta (they have indiana's pick) are some I think are possible to get.

With the amount of bigs this year, we really need to get 1 of them, but if they aren't available and Conley is I think we should get him. We need a new PG as well as a big 4/5 guy and I rather get a good young PG then a huge 7'+ project that will take 3-4 years to develop. I rather we get a good young PG like Chris Paul hopefully and then pick up a young big who has had some time in the D-League on some other team's dime! Someone like O'Bryant from GS. Unless we can get a good athletic big who has a quick NBA learning curve, we should get Conley or the best player when we pick. Of course we have gapping holes in our lineup at 4/5, but if you pick later and many of those guys are gone, you need to go with the best player left, your angle on drafting on need is gone and it's too much of a compromise to pick a 3-4 year project.

I think we should get the most offensively skilled big. Defensively if we resign Williams we know he's going to block shots and play defense.

I have no problem considering Williams in our plans as our Defensive big either starting or off the bench. With purely offensive players we have now in SAR and Miller he covers many of their weaknesses. He isn't however the end all of our 4/5 problems and I hope we get another defensive big closer to 7' or taller who has decent skills and hopefully will not be a 3-4 year project. I'd even be up to taking Kwame Brown from the Lakers. I don't think they have much in the way of plans for him with Bynum, Turiaf, and the other bigs they currently have, but with our obvious need of a decent 4/5 guy I think he and others around the league would help us. We don't exactly have a great comparison so basicly anyone with height that can clog the lane and wave his arms would help us, and that's pretty sad, but true. ;) :p

ok, I think people are asking way too much out of Williams if you're hoping he's going to be a starting power forward. As a sparkplug off the bench? Sure. But as a full-time starter? No way. He's way too unskilled, and that puts a lot of pressure on the rest of the team to produce offense since he's essentially a zero there, particulary when teams start adjusting to him and actually box him out.

I did see him put in a couple of nice little half hooks a fade away jumper. There is always hope. He does need time to develope but averaging 11 pts in 23 minutes of play in the last 5 games is pretty good especially when you are 72% from the field in that time period is a pretty good. Not to mention only 1 out of the 5 teams are not a playoff team.

I don't know the talk on this guy is that he could be a special player. Besides I think our needs may look a little different after this summer if you get my drift.

I watched Nicolas Batum several times this season and I have nothing but good things to say about him.
He's athletic and very talented on the offensive end...
Defensively, he can (and will) be a lot better thanks to his VERY huge wingspan (think Kirilenko).
He's young (he's 18), but played a good level this season with pros (French League + Euroleague) and had some very good games.

That being said :
1) Batum does not adress what Kings need
2) I don't think nbadraft is a reliable source
3) There's a good chance that Batum will withdraw from the draft anyway

Ben Wallace is comparable on the offensive end. If Williams can put back rebounds on a consistent basis for 20-25 minutes a night, that would be awesome.
