Lakers vs. Wizards (3/14)

This will probably work as a jinx, but Wizards beating Lakers by 15 with less than 3 minutes left in the game. Jamison only played 8 minutes. Kobe's not even on the floor at this point in the game, so I guess any big fourth quarter comeback has been virtually given up on by the Lakers at this point.
 
Just heard on Wizards' radio that this will be the first ever season sweep by the Bullets/Wizards franchise of the Lakers.

I think it was a team effort, but my guess would be that Larry Hughes had primary responsibility, and the Kings could have had him with the 7th pick in the draft the year they drafted White Chocolate.
 
Well, considering that draft pick we essentially traded up for #2 (Bibby), I like where we stand.

We really screwed up in missing 2nd rounders such as Arenas and Boozer with out late 1st round picks that didn't really go anywhere in later years. But Petrie isn't alone in those regards.
 
I wouldn't :(, just because:
1) My lakers have trouble gettin a playoff spot.
2) Their main man is one of the top players in the league, who has trouble passing the ball when he is experiencing an "off" night
3) They had the two best coaches in the league, and now they have no one.
4) The fact that its a one man show, (thats worst then AI's runs)
5) They aren't even worthy of being Kings rivals

Doesn't mean you can make fun of them! lol.
Poor lakers...I still love 'em. :D
 
One thing that many forget is that the playoffs are not even close. There are about 15 odd games left i guess and playoff standings at this point may not be the same when the actual playoffs start.
Houston can take the 5th spot with another rockets win / kings loss
Memphis can take the rockets place with just two games
Denver can take the lakers last playoff spot anytime
Heck the lakers can take the kings spot with just 4 more losses to the kings than what the lakers loose and i believe the kings and lakers play twice in the next month.

Its going to be the rockets Vs the heat as i predicted during the beginning of the season

Lakers aren't making the playoffs. Clear since the previous Tor/NY/Bos trip if not earlier.

Kings/Lakers Fan: Helluva split personality you have there. I didn't think it was possible.

Funny it seems to me that before the season started when I commented that the Lakers would be lucky to make the play offs several people thought I was way off base... hmmm

I thought you were too, but the injury to Kobe and the reassignment of Tomjanovich were unforseen.

By lesser Mortals perhaps... btw I would not over read the impact of Kobe's injury or Ruddy's exit...
