Lakers @ Spurs, 3/10/06

I think the Lakers have been playing quite well the last week or so. Ever since that Portland debacle at least.

I think they will move up to #7 and NOK will drop out if we continue playing well also.

wierd, i thought the spurs would kick the **** out of them.

then again, the hawks have also beaten the pistons and spurs, so i guess you can't really get too weirded out by it

Proof positive that if you want a job done right you have to do it yourself! ;)

Did you check the box score?? Smush had 18. LO near a trip/dub...hell, even Puke Walton had 13/10! ;) KB only had 29...sometimes the scrubs can hit (few and far between) ;)

If the Kings beat the Pistons and the Spurs (at home) over a period the Lakers did, I would think what the Lakers did was ordinary too.

How can they kill the Suns (even though they were nash-less) then lose to the fakers? It sucks!

maybe because it was a back to back, with travel inbetween???

either way, i'm not impressed with the lakers, and am sure the spurs would kick their ***** if they meet in the postseason. the lakers if they make the playoffs probably won't make it out of the first round ( same story with the kings IMO)

Thorough beating, final score wasn't indicative of it. Spurs were shut deeeown.

I'm going to take this opportunity to post a simple yet obvious reminder:

We know some of you and you are here because you bring good discussion, you respect that this is a Kings board, and you do not attempt to turn this board into something resembling a cess pool.

As is usual before a Kings-Laker game, we are seeing new Laker fans joining this forum. That, in and of itself, is fine. We welcome people who are here to talk hoops and who are willing to respect the rules of the land.

This is fair warning, however. This forum is heavily moderated. We do not tolerate or condone smack talk, etc. There are boards out there that revel in that sort of post. We aren't one of them.

So, if you're here because you're waiting for the Tuesday game so you can post comments meant to incite or anger, I'll promise you one thing. Your first post in that vein will be your last.

Thanks for understanding.

Dang, I'm so out of touch being out of the country about the Lakers, didn't even know they are playing the Kings Tuesday and with my luck, it may not be even televised here in Canada.

The same thing was said last year and lookie what happened. The Spurs will take it again.

Mavs make it to the finals this time around. Pistons make it to the finals either ;)

Stern is now loving the idea of parity and he is getting all warmed up to the idea of high scoring games and its either going to be the suns or the mavs in the finals this year. we may not see the same teams in the finals for quite some time and in fact even during the lakers three peat and after that the finalists have always been different.

Bulls - Jazz
Suprs - Knicks
Lakers - Indy
Lakers - Philly
Lakers - Nets
Spurs - Nets
Lakers - Pistons
Spurs - Pistons

Mavs - Heat ????

Why would fans want to see WWE :)

There have been so many accusations on the refs and so many direct references made by the players about the refs that it seems logical (to me offcourse)

When I say this, I have been asked the question about why I watch the games then, thats because I like the game itself irrespective of what stern does. To see how the game unfolds inspite of the refs. Kings fans have that experience going against them in 2002 as well and as much as the lakers fans point to game 5, you have to take a very close look at game 6 as well. If you watch game 5 and then game 6 or game 6 and then game 5 if you are a kings fan it make a big difference

We know how fake the WWF is, and it's not as big as the NBA. That's a horrible example so forget it.

Do you know that by manipulating the outcome, Stern risks losing the NBA? Referees make mistakes, they are human. But the outcome manipulated? And why would the league single out the Kings? Small market? Then why did Stern allow the Pacers to get to the Finals a few years ago? The conspiracy theory is hogwash, and to me, it usually comes from fans of teams who can't win it all, and it comes sounding bitter.

Explain to me why Stern would do this, and what would he gain from it!
