Kozimor fired?

#3
I had grown to appreciate the Koz ... too bad ...

maybe a new voice who is even better will emerge ... but I had no problem with Koz ...

i would rather they cut down on all the non-basketball hoopla ... all i want to hear is the bounce of the ball, the squeaks of the sneakers, and the murmurs of the crowd ...

Darn...

Very disappointing news. Jim really added something to the broadcasts which made them highly entertaining. I really liked him on the stick.

With all of the cost cutting will Monarchs Talk continue to exist? If it lives on, will Jason Ross host Monarchs Talk now?

I'm really sorry to hear this. I like Koz. It's especially sad for the Monarchs, I think, as Jim is such a big supporter/fan of the WNBA.

I wish you and all your family the best, Jim Kozimor.

I too am wondering what happens to the Monarchs broadcast team?

This is terrible. Monarchs Talk will be tonight, so I am sure there will be some announcement. if I had to guess, Jason Ross will be the new Play by Play along with Krista Blunk.

Also, an inside source told me, that there is a strong possibility that there will be NO local TV coverage for the Monarchs. And with the announcement of the 200 plus game Webcast agreement with local teams, plus this announcement about Koz confirms my source. Let's hope that there will be some Monarchs on TV, because Webcast bites!!!

God's Speed Koz, see you with another team.:(

Krista is still there, I suspect Jason Ross will slide over for pxp.

I will open another thread specifically for this later, but I strongly encourage folks to take advantage of the opening night of Monarchs Talk to speak their peace about Jim Kozimor's dismissal from both broadcast teams, especially for the our loss as Monarchs' fans.

It's the first split show of the season as the Monarchs open camp this Sunday. M's talk starts @ 8pm

In town: 916-339-1140
Out of town: 800-920-1140

CALL THE SHOW....you're never going to get a better reason than this. Let them hear from you.

KOZMAN...We will miss you! Thank-you for all your excellent work over the years & for making fans feel like friends. Your support of the WNBA & other sports will always be appreciated. So many of us preferred to listen to you & Krista call the games, because you were funny & exciting. The season will not be the same without you! We wish you the best & because you are a winner, I know you will land at the top. ''Koz...you will not be forgotton! Miss you already, somber in SacTown.
Best wishes, with gratitude...MARYB.

I just got home from Illinois. MBF had text me with the news. I am shocked, angry, hurt, sad, sick .... I could go on and on. Jim is not only a wonderful man, but great at what he does. I am glad to call him friend.

This is a huge loss for Monarchs fans. Koz and Krista was one of the great broadcast teams in the WNBA.
