I'm not about to go out on that limb.

The Mavericks have delighted in coming into Arco and silencing the crowd. This year, their job is half-done before they even start to play. And if Bonzi isn't going to be there to set the tone, it could be a very long game Thursday night...

Well, I indeed, didn't say who would win it.

Dirk got hit after the foul was called on him. Kobe threw his arms up. You can't call a foul on a guy that just got fouled. Dirk was just unlucky. Josh Howard got Kobe back but Kobe got mad and lit you guys up. That's what you guys get for pissing him off.

Hey TheEnemy are you ElDrunko247 from ISH?

Good game from Kobe. I wonder how his teamates liked the show?

To be fair his teammates laid brick after brick in the Houston game. That was a game that Kobe really showed trust in his teammates and they let everyone down. I knew Kobe was going to come out gunning in this game.

I think it will probably happen quite a few times this season. He'll have to carry them most of the time. Must be nice to have a player who can carry your team to victory confidently and consistently when the rest of the team sucks.

This kid just might have a shot in this league, I think.

There you go again. Some kid has a good night and you're all about making him into some kind of all-star or something.

It was one game, dude. It's not like he's done stuff like that before or anything...

Then I would love to have that "so called trash" in my team. He is the BEST player in the NBA period.

It's a shame when King fans start taking sides with Kobe and considering him the best player in the league oh the Irony...

Even if it was intentional, it'd be a very good move for kobe to do, since it irritated Dirk and the Mavs/Coach for the rest of the game. you can learn those things only from experience. very smart move.

Even Vlade swiped at Dirk last year. What about Dirk inspires such abuse?

I used to think T-Mac was the best overall talent in the NBA but now I am fairly confident that Kobe is THE BEST pound for pound player in the league...just a hunch

Lol. ONEZERO and BMiller52 agree.

Just fine by them. Daddy won the game for them, took all that scary pressure off their shoulders. Last game, they lost to Houston sans Yao because Daddy decided to let them score.

Good move on Jackson's part to sit Kobe, IMHO. You don't want to risk him getting injured in a game that was so totally and clearly over.

Or maybe he just didn't want Kobe to surpass his boy MJ's career high of 69...

I don't know for a fact but i doubt Jordan did that in 3 quarters, and the way Bryant was playing tonight... I say he would of scored 70-75.

Oh well, guess we'll never know

The Cleveland 69 pt game was an OT game. The 63 point Boston perf was a 2 OT game. He had 64 against Orlando in 1993, that was 2 OTs as well.

Found out that Kobe tied Jordan's highest quarter with 30. Kobe's highest half was 42 in 2003 against Wash (Jordan played). That's more than MJ's halftime record.

I know that Jordan had a couple additional 60 pt games, but I think he hasn't gotten 62 in 3. This is Kobe's 4th game of 51, 55, 56, and 62 in 3 qtrs. Jackson has sat him out each time, although LA was up by about 30 or 40 in each game.

after watching the game i have to admit.... harris is sick with it.....

The beauty of that win is that it leaves the Lakers only 1.5 games away from first place in their division. I really don't think the Clippers will last. Barring injuries, the Lakers might end up duking it out with the Suns for the division... ;)

Kobe on PTI right now- says Phil actually offered to let him back in the game in the fourth and keep scoring, but he wanted to stay on the bench to keep rested for the future. Got to give him respect for that, sat out a shot at history for the good of the team.

Stupid *** Houston game. Arrgh. Why'd TMac have to go prove he's better than Kobe that night?

Lakers win over Orlando, helped by the Wiz, they are now 1 game behind the Clips for the lead in the division. Big game Sunday, no doubt. Not just the Kobe-Shaq hype, but for standing and confidence. While the Lakers have played well of late, this will be their biggest test.
