We need to do something for him. I don't know what but he is the difference maker and we all know it.

Thanks Mike because KJ had to know who he was representing. Don't underestimate the fire of the fans. It's our strength and we have a guy who is as passionate as we are.

Let's say thanks if only by a whole bunch of emails to his office.

Yep, i was thinking of starting a KJ appreciation thread and found this.

What is the email Glenn ?

We've come a long way with a long way yet to go but it was all quarterbacked by KJ and we should be doing all we can to show our heartfelt appreciation.

Great idea Glenn, just sent him one. Just had to share this:

"KJ, not only do you hold the record for most points scored at my high schools annual tournament (Casa Roble in Orangevale) but you get much praise from my aunt who went to Cal with you. I couldn't agree with her more. And I thank you for all you have done. You have made the possibility of bringing my toddler son to the Kings I love a reality, instead of a fantasy. Let's get to work, keep it up! You have shown the world how special you and your town can be!"

I was thinking of sending him an autographed picture of myself, but wasn't sure if that might not be too much. Would not want him to fall victim to campaign finance laws for accepting priceless gifts.

I think you're in the clear. Though it's a legitimate question.

edit: on second thought Brick. You should hold off. I don't want anything to impede this arena process, however remote the danger.

You're probably right.

Especially since it was a nude.

Thanks Glenn!

Mr. Mayor - I just wanted to pass on my most sincere gratitude on behalf of myself, my family and all of our friends (all of us Kings fans!) for all of your tireless work in keeping the Kings in Sacramento for one more year. As a Placer County resident I have not had a voice in this issue yet, but I feel confident that as a community we can make this happen! On a personal note, I look forward to seeing a Kevin Johnson Kings jersey prominently displayed in the rafters of a new downtown arena! Best of luck!

Wrote mine last night.. Pretty much just gushing over what he has done, and advised him that he now has friends from Los Angeles to Sacramento and in between for keeping the Kings in Sac and that he should one day run for Governor.

Oh also that he should be an honorary member of the Kings... And that on kingsfans.com in the early 2000s we were talking on the forum on how much we would have loved for KJ to retire a King.
