KJ to meet with George this week

Mayor Kevin Johnson and Kings co-owner George Maloof spoke again this morning and have decided to meet in person within the next few days in what will likely be a make-or-break session.

I don't believe that it really comes down to the Maloofs believing in the revenue projections... I still it's a smokescreen, that no realistic revenue figure would give them what they want. But if that's the line they're continuing to use, I hope that KJ brings some AEG brass with him to the meeting so George can tell them to their face that despite all of their experience and proven success throughout the world, that they don't know what they're talking about.

I'm not about to get excited about anything that might come out of this. There's an old anecdote that ends "From the very beginning I told you I was a snake" and it likely applies to any "deal" Mr. George Maloof puts his name on.
