Kings @ Wizards game discussion

I believe I explained myself. They would have had the ball with seconds left on the clock. They could easily have run it down and scored, thus winning the game. Instead, we fouled and put them on the line to give ourselves a final chance. Whether the score was 105-105 at that point or 105-104 was pretty much irrelevant as far as what happened after that. If you disagree, then we'll simply agree that we see it differently.

If Garcia hit the three following your scenario at the point the Kings had the last second shot the score would have been 105-107 or 105-106 and a small chance of 105-105 depending on the wizards free throws. I find scoring with 1-2 seconds left much more difficult than defending a team for 3 seconds...but if you think otherwise than i guess ill shut up now. :D

Ding! Ding! Ding!!!

I think in that final sequence of the game though we had shown we can make stops and make them take bad shots. The only real points they were scoring were ones where we put them on the foul line (let's not forget fouling James was intentional as soon as the ball was inbounded). So I must disagree with you as well I think no matter what you take your chances being able to stop a team within 3 seconds.

I believe you are playing the What If game now! :)

If that's your reasoning i can't disagree because the only the thing worse than our offense is our defense.

That's not saying much though haha, I think our offense has a pretty solid collection of players that can score. We only really miss a great PG and an etch-a-sketch to erase some of Natt's plays he draws up lol... I have to admit though they're getting better lately

I fully understand where you all are coming from and away from the heat of the moment I would most likely agree with you. However, my instinct at that point would most likely have remained the same. And yes, I know it's not logical.

:)

Okay, I give up. You guys are right. I just re-read the thread and I think I need to go take a nap or something. I totally missed the whole thing you all were trying - quite nicely, thank you - to get me to see...

:o :p

can Clippers make this night perfect ?

hopefully when I check the score in the morning - I will smile

Sorry, but I have to question why you wouldn't want Garcia here long term. We aren't going to suck this bad next year. It's not gonna happen. Garcia could and should be part of the future, IMHO...

I am glad Garcia stepped on the line. It only helps our chances going into the draft. I'm glad we competed and came out with a loss.

Now Garcia, I personally don't want around for the long term. He is inconsistent on offense, and hasn't developed much in the last couple years IMO. I don't see him developing anymore as a player, and he still makes some pretty stupid mistakes.

I am not completely anti-Garcia. But I would rather have Donte take his minutes, and keep Nocioni around. Garcia and Nocioni can't stay and at the same time develop Donte. I don't see Donte as a pf, ever. Mybe in spurts, but thats it. I like what Nocioni brings to the table with his toughness, and I think his presence will be good for the young guys. Sure Garcia can contibute, but I don't see him having the same consistent impact on games as Noc, and I think Donte has more of an upside than either one of them.
