Welcome, fellow Kings fans!

Tonight's matchup should be interesting and give us even more of a look at all the new faces...

First, the commercial:

I'm able to do this play-by-play because of the generosity and dedication of Jeremy, our site owner. He doesn't require people to register to read our threads AND our site isn't loaded with advertising, pop-ups, etc. If you would like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com the most active Kings fan board on the Internet, please consider becoming a Contributing Member. You can find more information HERE

As always, I ask that you not post ongoing comments, etc. in this thread as this PBP thread is primarily a public service for those Kings fans who cannot follow the game otherwise.

piksi is apparently still on strike. I'll start his game discussion thread shortly.

In addition, you can check in to our chat at mIRC. The server is irc.bludgeon.org and the channel is #Kingsfans.

As the pre-season continues, my own hope is that we will again see the magical chemistry develop that has made our team so competitive and so much fun to watch these past few years.

I've got my favorite beverage for game-time consumption (Diet Pepsi with Lime - a change from Diet Pepsi Vanilla) and a supply of Halloween Candy Corn.

Pull up a chair, kick back and relax and get ready for some Kings basketball. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

GO KINGS!!!!!

Well, you'd better be in top form. You training camp holdouts are a real pain in the patoot.

Almost game time.

Nothing much to note from the House Party Live. Wide variety of jerseys spotted on fans - including a fair number of black jerseys. Saw more #10 than anything else, with a smattering of #4 and #16 and even a couple of #23. Didn't see any gold jerseys on the people who walked behind Koz and Tank as they talked.

Bonzi, Brad and Bibby sporting their white headbands this evening...

Grant talking to Peja:

Peja: "I don't approach this year as last year of a contract. I approach it as another year. It's not just me who has to work; the whole team has to work. We have a lot of new players."

Grant: How long to get comfortable with new players?

Peja: It's what we have to work on in camp. You have to talk to the new guys, they have to get comfortable on the court. Guys are learning; if you pass the ball and move, you'll get good shots.

Other stuff, but I kinda nodded off for a second...

;)

Peja: Shareef is fast learner. He really knows how to work the court. He brings something we didn't have. He's gonna post up, especially with Bonzi, and that's gonna open it up.

What about defense?

Peja: We have to work on it more. (Nervous laughter) We have to learn to trust each other more and work together...

------------------------------------------------------

Grant asks him about being the veteran on the team and he says, "Yeah, I've been here the longest. But Corliss is the oldest."

Note: I THINK those quotes above are what Peja said. Whenever he talks to Grant, he seems to start off okay and then dissolve into mumbling about half way through a sentence...

Brad Miller addresses the crowd:

How you guys doing tonight? We just wanna thank you guys for coming out tonight for pre-season. We want you to be as loud as you can because we're gonna play as hard as we can.

Grant announces Brad isn't starting but doesn't say why.

Warriors lineup: Petris, Foyle, Dunleavy, Davis and somebody...
