[Game] Kings vs Warriors 12/21/10 Game Thread

This franchise is an absoloute joke, this team is not only good at finding ways to lose but going out of they're way 5 miles down the road to lose. We're going to be last years Nets.

Kings Update: The team is still struggling, but we have a lot of young talent with great desire. Everyone is keeping a positive attitude.

i would replace omri with garcia chucking up a 3 with 12 secs left on the shot clock. 12 valuable seconds in hindsight

Yea, I read that you told him that and I knew that when the first quarter was over, a JOKE! This team really makes me not want to be a KINGS fan anymore. It's so hard not to be a fan but this team is a joke and the fans can't always blame WESTPHAL for these scrub players that think they can do by themselves all the time. TYREKE, I'm so tired of his HYPE and doesn't do JACK and you have a player like Landry playing like a face up player because he lacks direction from a team that just does whatever they want too and Omri bitching (not that good anyway) and Greene will never live up to his potential, EVER! This team is reall just full sh!t.

We lost that lead in the 4th because Cousins kept overexerting himself on offense, when he had nothing going for him and in turn caused a turnover or a badly missed shot. I say overexerted because he put way too much effort into making moves that made it hard for him to get back on defense. How many times did we see him hit the floor? He allowed the Warriors to get in the open court, and if they didnt get a basket, theyd take advantage of the 5 on 4 in the half court.

What's he supposed to do? Evans throws the ball into him in the post and stands there instead of cutting through the lane. Beno was in the corner standing there. He couldn't throw it back with the defender between them so he made his move.
 
Shouldve passed back out before he got shut down. Hes going to draw the double team, they did that all night he shouldve known. I hope he learned something tonight.

It shouldnt have gotten to the point where we needed a rebound. The cisco shot with 12 on the clock and fouling 3pt shooters killed us.
Evans needs to stop with the pull up jumpers off the dribble.

Jackson was responsible for Rado on that 3. He got caught watching Ellis instead of his man and was late. Also on the play, Ellis goes around the screeners to the corner. Donte pics him up comming from the inbound as Evans was going under the screeners. Wtf do you go under for when they need a 3. Plus they should have been switching to cover the 3 which is what Donte did.

But they didn't double until he put the ball on the floor. And the double came from the weakside.

i wonder if the maloofs sold the team to larry ellison and he forked out the money for a new arena and overpaid for a better coach and good players it would help the team. just an off topic thought

He was looking to pass, but nobody was moving. He looked right back at the entry passer expecting them to cut then at the corner expecting a cut.

Heh, I feel your sentiment but don't give up on our team lol we need people at Arco and watching on TV just to survive! Omri was bitching a little and Landry has been less than stellar but give 'Reke a break. He's still our best player. He's also injured and has a tremendous amount of pressure put on him because of last season. If his teammates could hit shots he might be averaging 8 assists/game. Greene is also a glue-guy for this team. When he's in he is doing no harm to our team and from what I've seen when Greene plays, we often have a lead. I agree we should make some trades though. Aside from Tyreke and Cousins everyone is expendable. (Though I'd prefer to keep Greene and Beno)

Not to mention, he still had 7 assists and 10 rebounds on a night where he just plain sucked on offense. No need to give up on him yet.

Yeah. He is not playing well offensively, sure but his hustle almost makes up for it on off-nights. That's more than can be said about a few other players.

In the 4th and OT, not as much. On the one beautiful play they had in the 3rd he was doubled in the post passed it to garcia in the corner who swung it to Evans who swung it back around to Beno on the same side it started for a wide open 3.
 
So just checked everyones favorite stat +/-.

Donte +10
Cisco -13
Omri -8

Good call keeping Donte on the bench in the 4th there coach. :rolleyes:

Im only going to say this once, ASSISTS DONT MEAN ANYTHING, you need to pass the ball and just because you passed it to him it didn't help him make it. He does get rebounds but he can't SHOOT, by the way, I'm talking about TYREKE. The sad part is that I'm a fan of his and I keep ripping him and wanting him to be traded because he's a selfish player that has a horrible shooting percentage and NO JUMPER and now that teams know how he plays he has a hard time driving to the lane. He won't be traded but still, someone needs to talk to him and sticking to driving to the lane, he's no MONTE ELLIS.
 
I dont recall that vividly into the 3rd, but we were playing rather well at the time. The 4th was where the worst happened, and also most memorable for me. That was where i thought DMC couldve played a lot smarter that wouldve allowed us to keep our lead instead of paving the way towards our downfall.
