Kings vs The Heat 1/12/13, 6 PM

Watched a Heat broadcast of the game online and their announcers were very complimentary of the city, Tyreke & Cousins talents and the mayors benefit friday. They interviewed the mayor about the relocation rumors and (the announcers) seemed very supportive of the team staying. Went as far as saying something like *it would be his greatest assist to keep the kings in sacramento*.

As for the game, I think Keith Smart started to cry at one point, maybe he finally realized that his little experiments just don't work. Regardless of the score, the Kings tried their best. It was the defending champs, and expectations should have been low. Chalmers having his best game ever was a fluke but Smart not using Cousins more against Bosh was just silly. If the Kings had any positional advantage it was Cousins against Bosh.

ugh. Nothing worse than getting blown out and having to listen to the Heat announcers gloat. They also whine and cry worse than the players.

"He was fouled, waaaa, he was touched"

yuck

Just curious, does anyone know why Brooks didn't play. I had to watch the Miami broadcast and they made no mention of Brooks. Unless he was in his stealth mode and I couldn't see him. I think Rainmaker said he played good defense on someone. I don't seem to remember seeing him in the game.

He was inactive. I didn't see him by the bench either. My guess is he got the flu that's going around.

Sick leave – Guard Aaron Brooks sat out Saturday's game with the flu. It was the second game he has missed this season. Brooks' absence allowed second-year forward Tyler Honeycutt to be active for the game. He scored four points in four minutes.
