Kings vs The Heat 1/12/13, 6 PM

31 assists for Miami, 18 for us. They have taken 5 less shots than us too. They have 11 steals and 10 blocks 8 turnovers. We have 17 turnovers. Sloppy all around.

Cousins the only player that did not get up and join the previous timeout.

I don't blame him. What's the point? I know there is a team element, but I don't blame him for being mad/selfish when they are getting spanked in the 4th from an uncomebackable game.

It's part of it. Don't create a strawman and act like I said it's the only reason.

No. It's not. You wouldn't be saying a word if any one of those 3 guys we're having the offensive night that IT is right now.

I find it remarkable how you find a way to spin anything regarding IT into a negative. He's been lights out shooting the ball tonight and you're complaining he's not passing to guys who are bricking shots all over the place tonight. That+Rotations+our inability to even try and get back in transition is why we lost tonight. Not because IT scored 34 points on 22 shots

IT isn't getting Cuz/Reke/MT involved, nor has he. Sorry, despite your rhetoric he's not trying to get others going as they need the ball to do so. But that's far from our only problem tonight, although it is one of the larger problems tonight.

I did specifically point out IT was shooting well tonight, but IT needs to play off Cuz/Reke, not put them in a position to constantly attempt to play off him the few times he gives them an opportunity.

I think this is the answer. Tyreke had a stretch where he controlled the ball and did well with it. Being moved to SF hurts him bad. I have been screaming for a MT & Garcia for a SF/PF/C trade for almost a year.

This is the answer. IT is a perfect 3rd option for this team. Why? Because he's comfortable with spot-up shooting and he can create his own offense when needed. You add a chucker like Thornton into the mix and you get tonights result.

What's IT supposed to do? Pass up open 3 pointers? Cousins and Reke didn't do anything with the ball tonight and when they actually did create, they kicked it out to IT on the perimeter.

There's another strawman. Did IT take 22 open 3 pt'ers tonight? Did I say he shouldn't take open 3's? It's his ball domination which is the issue. Look at Chalmers, he's shooting lights out tonight and has the most shots on Mia but it wasn't in a ball dominant role. He played off others. Everyone had their touches. That's what IT needs to do. I have no problem with IT taking open 3's off kickouts/doubles/ball rotation, and I've said he's good in that area. That isn't the issue though. It's him dominating the ball to the point Cuz/Reke/MT have their touches cut in half.

Yippee, IT scored 34 pts. NOT! He and Kings allowed Mario Chalmers to score 34. Glad I missed most of the game watching Niners paste Packers 45-31 and now on to NFC championship game next Sunday.

Ya we needed more passes off the backboards, airballs and missing people on the break. Best part of the game was watching Evans brother shake his head everytime it happened. Evans is at best a 3rd option. 16 pt a game scorer and stat filler. If you ask him to do more your going to be disappointed.

shhh

go back to lurking. its too transparent when you only pop up to trash Reke when he has a bad game.

Could have at least tried JJ on Lebron and Reke on Wade. Brooks is the best defender out of he, IT and Jimmer, so see if he can slow down the Mia PG's who've abused both IT and Jimmer.

MT at the 2 and Reke at the 3 with IT getting abused was never going to work. It wasn't even worth trying.

This is the best post of the thread. I'd love to see the inactive guy guard the miami pg's.

Just came home, unfortunately couldn't see the game (which doesn't look a bad thing), or read the thread. I hope there were the "we want mastrov" chants with him in attendance

Unfortunately, its 5 bad games for every 1-3 good games.

It's his 3rd game back after about a month off, and Smart helped him by throwing him out there at SF against Lebron.

Counting tonight as a poor game which wasn't helped by his coach, Reke has played pretty well just about each of the last 15 or so games he's been healthy for, of course discounting his first game back where he had a minimal role and the Den game where he played about 10 mins.

You wouldn't happen to be the Miami fan that was thrown out of the arena would you? The one who was shouting "Tyreke you suck, you are garbage"

Lebron and Smart had nothing to do with throwing the ball of the backboard or shooting an airball or getting trapped in the corner tunring it over or not passing on the break to open players when a defender was in his face. Evan's problem isn't the coach or his skills. It's all between his ears.

It's funny how you make the excuse that it's his 3rd game back for all the mistakes yet wanted him to start and play 40 mins.

This team really needs to trade one if Brooks/Thornton/IT for a shotblocker.

Yes Thornton is expendable because he essentially is a Stephen Jackson type player. Nothing special there.
