well Thompsons looking good... im pretty sure i watch him get a steal then run the fast break taking up the ball and was smart with his pass and almost got it back for a dunk but was fouled... i like all the little things Thompson's doing.

Douby was really off - only three hoops and burned on defense. Had a nice block, though. Singletary made some bad decisions but mostly looked OK, although it would be nicer if he can score more consistently. Hawes was better today and had some nice passes. Thompson is quick and I think his good hands will help make up for Mikki Moore's mitts. He seemed to get called for a lot of ticky tack fouls. Hawkins looked good early but then didn't get playing time again until the end...probably no spot for him as a swingman type, though. Townes showed some promise, I'd take him over Ewing

I just got home from work a bit ago, but reading in here it looks like we got worked, and our kids got sent back to school?? I never was a big Townes fan when he was at Arkansas, he was always lazy and out of shape...but you never know, maybe now that he's trying to step it up in the big time his attitude has changed for the better. Ewing looks like he's probably on his way out the first set of cuts, but it may be too presumptive to say that after 2(1) VSL games. I like Singletary, and hope he makes the squad, he's very sound on defense and seems to have a decent on court IQ. I know we're broke, but I still think Geoff has 1 move up his sleave before the start of training camp...we're just wont know the severity of it until it happens...or...the cow hasnt seem the moon change three shades of yellow yet while listening to the hen make a bunch of white noise...or whatever Petrie-ism you can think of. Since he's given us quite a few grammatical lyrics over the years, I've just gave him his own language: Petrish. And only Kings fans speak it and know what the hell he's talking about.

JT better watch out... He just can't stay out of foul troulbe. Once the regular season starts he's going to need to learn to stop committing so many fouls.

Yea, I just finished watchin it on NBA.com... Ugly game for the Kings...
I loved the thompson steal and fastbreak give and go.. the dude has mega handles and warp speed.

Uh, I really think it should be noted that the Kings played last night until about 10 o'clock, so I am sure having to play less than 18 hours later had to be a tad bit tough. All their shots were short that tells me they were tired.

I wouldn't worry about the fouls. Some of the calls were ridiculous, and wouldn't be called during the regular season. The Kings had no continuity today. Does anyone know why Sheldon didn't play? I kept trying to see if he was on the bench but could't tell. I missed the introductions so if a reason was given for his absence, I didn't hear it.
It says in today's(early thurs. morning) bee that he was at the espy's because Candace Parker received female athlete of the year.

Edit: Nevermind - Shelden skipped town to be with his girlfriend. That's going to go over like a load of bricks. Doesn't he realize he's currently 5th on the depth chart?

Shelden Williams is toast on this team. The only thing keeping him afloat is the fact that he was a very early first round draft pick. They still think he's worth it and are hoping that somehow he gets significantly better.
