The Kings are now down to 7 players. Good grief. And folks are complaining that DeRozan is on the court?
I am personally complaining that DeRozan is getting all the touches/taking all the shots. That shouldn't be the case in a "tanking" season, even if the Kings were down to five players.

He should "care" in the sense that, if he and the organization were on the same page, I believe that he would be willing to reduce minutes and/or shots for the veterans, and run more of the offense through the young players. Just like Carlisle probably doesn't "care" whether the Pacers win the lottery, but he's willing to flush a year of his coaching record down the toilet because he doesn't have to worry about looking for another job next season because he finishes in last place. Since Christie has no such security, he's desperate to win every game he can, even if it's only in the hopes of landing another assistant's job.

But again, he's either being directed in some fashion as those guys are or there's a disconnect. No positives out of this and no real way to explain it. If he's coaching for himself then this speaks to a much higher issue with this new FO.

And again, I believe that he's defying his "directive," for reasons I've already stated.

40 piece for demar woooohooo! great way to develop the youth! pcik #8 here we come!

The win is what it is. THIS is the most insane stuff we've ever seen this franchise do. For real. We're rebuilding! Then have DeMar or Russ being the focal point night to night. That last 3 in iso to end it was emblematic of the past, present, and future in all likelihood unfortunately.

OK. then they have no power to lead or direct. Again, not good. Wouldn't be a shocker but certainly a sign that the same 'ol wheel is turning and it's the same person behind it once again. And we know who that would have to be. Someone clamouring for nightly entertainment from his courtside seat.

Hell ya! 2 games back of utah! Still have 2 vs Nets and some easy pelicans/clippers games! You know im starting to think if Keegan never got hurt wed be a play in team! Run this crap back guys! 35 wins next year! !!

I don't think the Hunter trade was all that bad, but when Perry went with that one the writing was on the wall. They're trying to compete next season. This isn't a rebuild. Perry couldn't fetch anything for his vets so he's going to ride it out just watch. I get the uneasy feeling that we're more likely to see more picks and youth moved for win now pieces than the reverse. Right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Kings not even be making a first round selection on draft night and if they do, it will be for another team.

His plan is to try to play "spoiler". Go figure

I'm not so sure that Demar won't be on the Kings next season.

I could see them possibly picking up his option because he is still playing at a high level.
I think Demar has 10 million guaranteed out of 25 million next season so he'll likely be back unless we trade or buy him out
