Hello, fellow Kings fans!
For me, at least, the emotional roller coaster is finally coming to a stop. It's been a tough week, but we'll survive. We always do.
I won't be doing the play-by-play today, so I hope someone will be able to fill the void. I'll be meeting with some of you to watch the game in person... I'm already in Sacramento, having made the long arduous journey down from the forest late last night because I have a very, very, very good friend who worked all day, drove two hours up to my house, and then drove two more hours to return to her house.
Luckily, we have a win to talk about and not a loss from yesterday. My personal thought is that the team is now emotionally and physically drained. Today's game isn't of major import, at least to my mind. It's something they have to do, but I can't see them having a lot of energy with which to do it. The drama for us has unfolded on the screen. The drama for them was real; a part of their lives and it came totally from left field.
Regardless, I'm hoping they can draw on inner reserves and get the job done. A couple of wins from the rest of this road trip will go a long ways towards getting them back on track.
If you're going to the get-together today, I'll see you there. If not, then I'm sure you'll be reading all about it from those of us who are able to attend.
So, now and always...
GO KINGS!!!!!
