The starting unit was imposing its will to start the game. They were basically putting Malone's stamp on the game and then for some unknown reason we became deathly afraid of the suns small ball unit and decided that the only reasonable thing to do was put our small ball unit on the floor. Either we're tanking or Malone is unknowingly making some really bad mistakes.
