We lost this game in q1 with poor d and subs. We couldn't close the gap because the energy never recovered until too late.
Blown opportunities to prove this team had taken a big step. At this point, we're barely better than last year while wagering future assets on being a lot better. This franchise is in a tough place. Potentially not even good enough to qualify for the 8th seed in a very down year for the west, with few valuable pieces to get better.
Bottom line, most of the improvement needs to come from within and not sure we have the coach to do that

The coach refutes to change what got him this far and this many wins. Can't say I blame him but he is a part of the blame and not the escape goat for all this either.

The thing is, this is the real Beli. He can shoot only wide open catch & shoot 3s.
Most of his shots this year are off picks and off his own dribble. He is not that type of player.
Frankly, if he could do those things, he would.be getting paid a lot more and we would've. Nwver been able to sign him. Karl over valued him and told him to shoot at will. Beli is trying to play like a klay Thompson by shooting a lot of shots on the move.
This is not a slump. This is the coaching staff not realizing what his strengths are and using him correctly.

Exactly.
45 games in and I think we can call this Kings team what it is - mediocre. Inconsistent play and worse yet, inconsistent effort from a team that has some ill-fitting pieces around a trio of flawed "core" pieces in Cousins, Rondo and Gay.

No doubt. No AD , no Reke, and amazingly Kings really never in it, playing the game seriously disinterested for most part. This team is simply psycho!

I think this trio is too buddy buddy on the court with each other and don't hold each other accountable enough in my opinion because they are close off the court. You need to take responsibility when the team as a whole isn't playing any defense and allowing career nights nearly ever game to a random player.

What a pathetic and disgusting effort. Gross!!!! And for the apologist who think Boogie is this infallible force you need to wake-up!!! Guy is barely trying on defense. His turnovers are so careless. I know shoddy effort when I see it and I have seen it two games in row from Mr. All-Star.
Oh and no shocker Ben goes for 26 points on the night Old Man Karl has a tummy ache....guaranteed if that old geezer was his usual statue on sidelines Ben gets 7 points and Marco gets an extra quarter of playing time
Just a pathetic effort by a bunch of pretenders pretending to be a playoff team. This team has issues led by a leaderless coaching staff and moody superstar and a bunch of wing players allergic to defense.
I look forward to this off-season when we send Karl packing and the rest of his crony assistants and add a few players who actually take pride in playing defense. Until then this is just an exercise in futility by a bunch of guys going through the motions to collect a paycheck.

Maybe he'll get off the toilet long enough to blame Ben and WCS for this game. We can only hope.
Cuz, Rondo, Ben, and Collison brought their game tonight. Still not enough when the rest of the team does 0. Rondo and Collison were bad on defense, but at least they were able to give us something on offense.. can't say the same for anyone else.
James Anderson was ok though. Can't blame him for randomly getting jerked into the game. He played as ok as you could hope for.

4-10 FGs and 8 points by Collison is not "bringing it" and 26 points on 24 shots by Boogie w/ 6 TOs against their scrub frontline is not "bringing it". Its contributing to a loss against a depleted team.

It's where they belong. At the bottom of the Western Conference with the rest of the irrelevant teams.
Cousins 11-24 26pts 10rebs 6asts 5blks 6tos. 11/24 is almost 50% if he had made 1 more.
Collison 4-10 8pts 3asts. He got called for a bunch of BS fouls and should've had some of his own.
The biggest reason why we lost is because WCS didn't know how to guard Anderson for crap. Can't sugar-coat it, but he's a rookie. Rondo was straight up ass on defense, but he at least gave us something on offense. Collison was more bearable, but he sucked there too.

They Pelicans were without their 2 best players (by far) and the Kings have been playing well of late and appeared to have turned the corner and they got worked from the get go and didn't look like they belonged on the court. I can go on but I don't need to.

I just wonder though, if we fire Karl in the offseason, what coach is going to want to come here? Thinking that there's a good chance he will probably get fired too. I mean, mean's went through what? 15 coaches over the last decade? lol
