[Game] Kings v. Nuggets - Monday, Oct. 28 - 7PT

There are some real positives to come from this one. The main thing is they need to keep going to the best option. Late in the game it was a Fox pick and roll against Jokic. There are so many ways they could have opened up easy looks for Buddy out of that play.

This game felt like a game from last season. Which is at least a step in the right direction. Holmes has to start. Dedmond is awful. Maybe when Giles and Bagley are back a frontcourt of Bagley, Bjelicia, Holmes, Giles is solid. Trade Dedmond as soon as you can.

Except we're already 0-4.

In an 82 game season. This isn't an NFL season where one or two games makes or breaks an entire year.

We have a 4 game losing streak now but in a typical NBA season there will probably also be a couple of streaks where teams win games they shouldn't win to balance it out.

He may have meant if they go .500 from here on out, they will be 4-under .500 to finish the season.

forgot the Boston game?

I didn’t forget that. Willie has some nice finishes. That was an alley ooop though. It’s easier to finish since he just needs to throw it down. Willie often tried similar full extension finishes off a catch and drive like Holmes did near the end but it would slip out of his hand before he can finish each time. There’s a few that are on YouTube that are missed but are on there so you can imagine how awesome it would be if he finished. He came really close to getting one on Gobert.

It wasn't a foul which is the entire issue.

If the refs call it, it’s a foul. You can’t be dumb enough to put them on the line in that situation.

Yes he traveled before but that is no excuse for hacking down and drawing a foul when you are down one possession. Buddy is a super nice guy and a great shooter. He is also dumber than a rock and shouldn’t be on the floor at the end of games.

Doesnt really matter that we lost. They at least tried.

Going to need more time to learn defense and offense. But good effort

On the plus side, the Hornets are most definitely not the Blazers, Jazz, or Nuggets.

That is probably the most important game of the season so far. As we both implied above, it's not over yet but that's as close to a make or break as you can have early in a season.

Not sure if you're even talking about the same play as the rest of us but he didn't touch him.

Like 6 years out of my entire 32 years on this planet. Good ratio.
It’s sad but for some reason I keep hoping and enjoying the never ending Kangz. I still remember the hope springing from Sarunas and Vincent Askew.

who would you like to have out there instead?

Very nice effort by the Kings against a tough Nuggets team. If they give that kind of effort with a focus on playing the right way like they did tonight they will become very good. They've just got to consistently bring it like this every night and get better and better. No regression, please, for the Hornets game.

I think the Holmes-Bagley duo could become very dynamic in time. In a week or so we'll see how Giles plays with Holmes. Should be very interesting.

P.S. That non-call against Fox was sooo ridiculous. They should give him five make-up calls for that absurd non-call.

Better to struggle early than late. 0-4 in football could spell trouble. In the NBA it don't mean ****. As long as your team doesn't suck of course. :)
In the Western Conference it's practically impossible to go on longer than a 4-5 game win streak, and thats for the best teams.
