At least the Bobcats are better than the Lakers reserves.
yeah doesnt look like we will lose this one
Hey, once Mike Brown decided that he wasn't going to play five of his top seven players (with the seventh serving a suspension), it was pretty much a forgone conclusion. I know that there have been a lot of people around here picking up piksi's slack, and thinking that we're worse than a D-League team, or something, but I've been saying for a while now that we're better than our record indicates. There's not a team in the NBA that could lose to a team that intentionally sat six of their top seven, not even the Bobcats.I agree, and players never try to lose either. Think it also shows he was never trying to tank, which says something else, but will keep it at that in this thread.
You can't tank if you're not in the lottery.I have a bad feeling we are going to wose this one.
We're playing a team in blue and yellow, but we're not playing the lakers. To me, a win wouldn't mean as much if it wasn't against Kobe and a Laker team trying to win.
By them tanking so hard, it almost is like them winning, cause they'd be screwing out of possibly 5 spots in the draft. Never been so many spots riding on a single game to end the season.
Anyone see this on the court?

That's cool.

That is a large part of the problem. Nobody knows their roles.is it just me or do we have no priority or hirarchy in our half court offense? its pretty much seems like the players decide when they want to shoot or pass no matter what their role is supposed to be.
I do agree we're better than our record indicates, and that's where part of the frustration has come from. Underachieving. Also agree players will not lose on purpose. But, can a coach influence it by putting a strict limit on minutes from the starters tonight in order to get everyone a decent chunk of time? We'll have to wait and see, but it's possible, and probably the only hope for those wanting a loss tonight.Hey, once Mike Brown decided that he wasn't going to play five of his top seven players (with the seventh serving a suspension), it was pretty much a forgone conclusion. Not really anything to like about this game. The fans who paid top dollar for tickets to see the Lakers play the Kings are seeing an NBADL team that even the Charlotte Bobcats could beat. I really hope this bites the Lakers in the butt for the playoffs and they get swept. Of course I hope that happens anyway.![]()
Okay, we've got five reserves on the court, that's all you can do. If we end up extending the lead with the starters on the bench, I'd better not hear anybody say a god damned thing.

if you watch some of the playoff teams, spurs, bulls, grizz heck even the knicks they have strict 1st and 2nd options who almost always touch the ball everytime they get into a half court set, the ball then proceeds to flow around until someone has a good to great look if the 1st or 2nd options arent open. each and every player knows what they are suppose to do and to stay in their role and if they do something outside of their role (chuck up a contested 3 early in the shot clock) they are held accountable. our team lacks all of that, our guys rarely give up a decent look for a better one.
I somehow get this scary feeling that the Kings FO and Keith Smart will decide that Travis Outlaw is finally getting it going and will not look to acquire a better SF. Shivers.

Sigh. the bench might have saved us. But Smart wasn't having any of that and threw JT and Cuz back in.
