Whoa, almost was put in there for reason. Calm down, and replace Reke and IT with Rondo and Collison, and Jimmer with Willie and the story sounds similar. Giving up 120 to the Cavs is laughably Smart esque.
Thinking about it you speak facts this is smart all over again. Junkball at its finest

Wait, what? Who gets our pick if it's between 9-4? I thought our pick owed to the Bulls was top 10 protected?

No we keep our pick if its top 10, Philly can swap with us if somehow we end up with a better pick than them. If we assume they are top 4 it not likely we would have to jump into the top 3 in the lotter and have them drop to 4-6.

How can you ever love this team? Poor coaching, poor leadership, lazy play, stupid play. This team has talent but is so stupid and reckless they will never translate it to winning. Please just give me a team like the Blazers, Celtics. I don't care if we don't have a "hall of famer" I just want a group that brings it every night, plays hard, plays smart, plays together, isn't a pinch away from self destructing.
Well, if you really want a team like the Blazers or Celtics... it's not like there's a rule that says you have to root for the local team. I mean, just look at all those people who showed up to STA tonight, wearing their Cavs jerseys; you could be one of those guys, if you wanted.

Btw, this list makes me want to cry... For a rebuilding team, this looks like a death sentence.

It depends where we land record-wise at the end of the season, but Chicago gets it if it's 11-30. If it's 10 or lower we get a pick but that pick will be Philly's pick if we end up with a better lottery draw than them. They have the worst record in the league so the only way our pick is better than there's is if we win a top 3 pick and they don't or both teams win a top 3 pick and ours is better. If we don't draw a top 3 pick, we'll end up in the 7-10 range most likely. The other hilarious scenario would be if we finish with the 10th worst record and somebody in the 11-14 range leapfrogs us and we still lose the pick.

If the pick falls between 1-10, the Kings keep it. The Bulls only get the pick if it goes between 11-30.

If the Kings keep their pick, the Sixers can decide to swap theirs for ours. Big chances are, the Kings will end up picking somewhere 4-10 and the Sixers pick in the top 3.
You're right though.. for a rebuilding team, it looks like a death sentence. We're kind of crippled now.

Next year, same thing applies... Bulls get the Kings' pick if it's 11-30. Sixers have the option to swap the Kings pick again...

2018: The Sixers get the Kings pick if it's between 11-30.

2019: If the Sixers didn't get the Kings 2018 pick, they will get the Kings 2019 pick no matter where it lands.

Maybe it's who he is but I hate Karl's "I don't give a ****" attitude after every loss. This guy has no heart and its rolled down to our players. Vlade should have thrown him out on his ass weeks ago.

Switching worked in the first half. It's worked against many teams this year, the problem is that the other team eventually finds a way to force that switch onto a favorable match up for them. The Kings coaching staff never ever responds to it. They haven't all season.

They just wait to exploit it, NBA coaches see it right away and put it in their back pocket to make sure we dont have time to adjust(little do they know).

I seriously cannot watch the lottery this year. My heart can't take it. Also, I can't afford to by a new TV afterwards.

Uhm willie just low key put George Karl on blast. Words like excuse and redundant might put him in dog house with George and the might put George further in the dog house with other players.

I don't see this season ending on good terms with Karl. It's still a festering blister that's gonna explode

Naa, i'd just as soon take a break from the league than switch teams. This is rock bottom though in terms of outlook. We have one young player we look forward to seeing develop and the vets we have are not cutting it and our draft future is shoddy at best. We are pretty much at a crossroad, does Cousins want to give it one more go? Are we better off starting from scratch? I'm in the opinion things are just too damaged to salvage, you just have to blow it all up and start from scratch. When you think about it, it all comes down to kicking Isaiah out the back door and firing Malone. Those two decisions set this team back years and killed it.

I don't know about all that, but I don't blame anybody for being sick of what's been going on with the team. I'm just saying, if I wanted a team that was like Portland or Boston, I'd be rooting for Portland or Boston. I don't think anybody needs to defend being ****ed about this team.

Lololololololol. Isaiah Thomas being let go did not ruin this franchise one bit. Let's not get carried away now. This team's issues are defense. It's always been defense. Isaiah Thomas is fortunate to be on a team that is so strong defensively he's allowed to chuck away. Isaiah Thomas lolololol. Thanks for the laugh.

This team is missing a leader, it has no heart, no soul, Isaiah Thomas is that for the Celtics and was here too. Say what you want he is the 3rd best player to wear a Kings uniform since post golden era and is the type of guard that EVERY winning NBA team needs these days. But whatever we'll win 33 games this year, we will be an improved NBA team folks!!!!!

1. Cousins
2. Kevin Martin
3. Isaiah
4. Rondo
5. Rudy
6. Evans

WCS seems to be even tempered. I guess Karl finally got to him if I am to interpret this correctly.

He needs minutes doesn't he? What's the point of the season if we don't give our young stud a little court time. Curry also.

Pretty prophetic when you listen to WCS in his post-game comments. The kid is a class act. I cannot say the same for the individual currently getting paid to be the head coach.

nah, blowing four straight top ten picks is what set the kings back years. i will continue to bang that drum as often as i can around these parts...

when you're trying to rebuild a team in earnest without the benefit of market draw for free agents and with few tradeable assets at your disposal, you can whiff on one of those first rounders, and you can settle for another resulting in a mediocre talent, but you've gotta get something of impact out of at least two of those picks. what cannot happen is for three of the four to nearly scrub out of the league altogether, while the only one of those four to remain with the kings has the dubious distinction of being perhaps the worst starting SG in the entire nba...

it certainly didn't help that the kings let isaiah thomas walk for nothing, and i've been as critical as anybody of the malone firing, but a franchise can find a way to absorb those blunders if they transform successive lottery appearances into a foundation for future wins. all of this losing does no good if you can't get a decent return on the draft picks it generates. at this point, i don't even care about the franchise upheaval that made such terrible picks possible; you seriously could have thrown darts at the draft board and picked better than the kings did from 2011-2014...

I don't think I've ever been happy before to have NOT watched a Kings game. Watching the clip of WCS post-game comments and the bit with Cuz yelling in the huddle during a timeout told me all I needed to know. I have NEVER given up on a season before. I have always tried to find something to be optimistic about, a reason for hope.

Right now, I have no hope. What I do have is fear for the amount of damage that can be done before the end of the season.

This team is salvageable as I have showcased many times. A lot of it depends on what we want to do at PG next year. The options are either Rondo, Collison, or Teague. Below are rosters that I could get us to for each PG path:

Rondo @ PG
#1

PG - Rondo/T. Evans/Curry
SG - C. Lee/Snell/Anderson
SF - Ariza/Casspi
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy
C - Cousins/Aldrich

#2
PG - Rondo/Collison/C. Payne/Curry
SG - C. Lee/Snell/Anderson
SF - Ariza/Casspi
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy/McGary
C - Cousins/Aldrich

Collison @ PG
#3
PG - Collison/T. Evans/Curry
SG - Bazemore/Snell/Anderson
SF - Ariza/Casspi
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy
C - Cousins/Aldrich

#4
PG - Collison/T. Evans/Curry
SG - B. Hield/Snell/Anderson
SF - H. Barnes/Casspi
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy
C - Cousins/Aldrich

#5
PG - Collison/C. Payne/Curry
SG - B. Hield/Snell/Anderson
SF - H. Barnes/Casspi
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy/McGary
C - Cousins/Aldrich

Teague @ PG
#6

PG - Teague/Payne/Curry
SG - C. Lee/Sefolosha/Snell
SF - H. Barnes/Casspi/Anderson
PF - Cauley-Stein/Gibson/Acy/McGary
C - Cousins/Aldrich

Karl has all of the young players on the roster confused and angry. When on the court production means nothing to a coach and you're still trying to establish yourself in the league, it can really mess with your head.
