I'm not entirely sure Caron not playing has been entirely on Karl, until recently. He disappeared immediately after going to Vlade and asking for a trade. My read on that is that it was by mutual agreement, possibly to avoid injury. Well, he's old, and nobody wanted him I guess, so it may have only been since the trade deadline passed that he was really available again, waiting for some injuries.

He could have played earlier. Gay was injured. Makes the same sense as giving WCS about 6 minutes. Maybe Karl needed to be told the trade deadline had passed and Butler was still on the team.

At least last year it was a painful drama. This year it's apathy.
