IMHO, I’m hoping Monte doesn’t overpay to trade for any of these rumored “stars”.
If I’m Monte, I’m sticking with our core starters along with Monk and seeing who is the best player I can get for a couple of 2nd rounders and a bench player or two.

Vecenie’s prediction is we trade KVon, Davion and a first for Kuzma. He didn’t say this was rumored, just his best guess. He is connected and is friends with DA who is in on the know in DC. Sam is a fan of Kuzma and thinks he is a good fit for the Kings.

I like him quite a bit more than you do but I have my concerns. I’m of the belief we need one more scorer and one more defensive ace to compete with the top end talent of this league. He accomplishes one of those things and finding a low usage defensive ace at the two (or hoping Colby takes a huge leap next year) is possible. Kuz’s contract is one of the best values in the league. We also go from being a small team to a good sized team. My biggest fear is he stunts the growth of Keegan and my second fear is he doesn’t buy into the 3/4 scoring role. If he does come this way hopefully all the losing in DC made him realize it’s not all that fun scoring if your team sucks.
The thing about Kuzma is he does create mismatch issues. Brown and staff would have to real in the bad shots. But it’s concerning if Huerter goes out cause he’s been playing to his potential and his outside shooting is elite when on. Obviously, he will have long stretches when he’s not locked in.

I’d take Delon back for sure. He is expiring though so what’s the price tag and can you re-sign him. We have a pretty juicy second round pick from the Blazers next year but I’d want to hold on to that to package in a bigger deal.
Dunno why the heck we dealt him away in the first place, but oh well. He's been pretty hurt the last few years and haven't kept up on if he's still good or not.

Here’s my thing with that he already got paid and is locked into the contract what is he gonna do not play hard and ruin the locker room. All that’s gonna do is guarantee he doesn’t get another big contract. He has three years left after this year he’ll be starting for us again within two years and no doubt he buys in defensively when we’re playing in the playoffs and big games. I see him still getting 30 minutes and playing in closing lineups

Would make me feel better about Kuz if all those analytics that showed he's actually incredible, despite his surface stats, still applied. I forget exactly what it was, but I just vaguely remember a report a few years back that he was legit awesome on the Lakers and a big reason they made that run in their title year.
I think it would be HB to the bench with Kuzma and Keegan as the starting forwards. HB would get more touches on the 2nd unit, and would give the 2nd unit an iso guy that we don’t have at the moment.
Especially with HB's new found aggression the last 2 weeks, I love the idea of keeping him super fresh and aggressive in a 25 MPG role.
