Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

Vecenie’s prediction is we trade KVon, Davion and a first for Kuzma. He didn’t say this was rumored, just his best guess. He is connected and is friends with DA who is in on the know in DC. Sam is a fan of Kuzma and thinks he is a good fit for the Kings.

I like him quite a bit more than you do but I have my concerns. I’m of the belief we need one more scorer and one more defensive ace to compete with the top end talent of this league. He accomplishes one of those things and finding a low usage defensive ace at the two (or hoping Colby takes a huge leap next year) is possible. Kuz’s contract is one of the best values in the league. We also go from being a small team to a good sized team. My biggest fear is he stunts the growth of Keegan and my second fear is he doesn’t buy into the 3/4 scoring role. If he does come this way hopefully all the losing in DC made him realize it’s not all that fun scoring if your team sucks.
Delon Wright has drawn trade interest from the Celtics, Kings, and Timberwolves, league sources told HoopsHype. The Nuggets were also mentioned recently by Marc Stein. Wright is expected to command second-round draft pick compensation in trade talks, league sources told HoopsHype.

Here’s my thing with that he already got paid and is locked into the contract what is he gonna do not play hard and ruin the locker room. All that’s gonna do is guarantee he doesn’t get another big contract. He has three years left after this year he’ll be starting for us again within two years and no doubt he buys in defensively when we’re playing in the playoffs and big games. I see him still getting 30 minutes and playing in closing lineups

Would make me feel better about Kuz if all those analytics that showed he's actually incredible, despite his surface stats, still applied. I forget exactly what it was, but I just vaguely remember a report a few years back that he was legit awesome on the Lakers and a big reason they made that run in their title year.
