Kings to rescind Curry's QO

This is what I don't understand. Who cares what the agent is asking for?

We are down to one point guard. Seth would have gotten good PT next year as the backup pg.

That is why I believe the agent must know the kings have a trade in place for another point guard.

Why else would agent not want his client to get guarenteed playing time next year?

I believe a trade for a significant point guard will be announced Monday or Tuesday. ;)

Sometimes you do the right thing in life. You trade Brad Miller back to the Bulls because it is close to Indy. You send JT back to his Hometown Philly. Now Vlade is doing Seth a solid by letting him be unrestricted. Other Players and Agents notice these things and you can slowly gain some leverage as being known as a solid Organization.

Errr...Temple has backed up PG more than Seth Curry has played it his whole career.

If you are right and the kings are going to roll with collison (likely lengthy suspension) and temple and cousins as our point guard rotation, the kings are going to be in trouble.

I seriously hope vlade has another point guard, either free agent or trade, in his plans.

Temple has averaged 4 points and 1.8 assist in his career and he is going to be our back up point guard?

At least curry showed some upside and scoring in his playing time to do a lot more than that.

And look what the great karma has landed us in free agency the last 10 years.

No one was keeping the agent from prospecting, before Kings spent all the money. Actually now, that there was no cap space left, rescinding QO is a pretty small gesture given the fact, Kings lost the ability to match even $3-4m per anyway. And renouncing his cap hold, that likely came with taking back QO, increased Kings' available space by $1.2m, I believe.
We still have Room Exception to spend btw. If Norris Cole or Tim Frazier can fit into that, I would take any of them rather than rely on ICousins as a third-stringer at PG.

BTW, Any good agent would use the qualifying offer to increase Seth value, not decrease his value.

All he would have to do is go to another team and say, look if you want Seth, all you have to do is give him a 5 mil a year contract or more and he is yours. Kings won't be able to match because they only have 4 mil left under the cap.

That is why I still believe the agent knows there is another point guard coming in that would make curry unneeded by the kings, thus asking for a release.

No one is suggesting Temple is the answer at PG. The point is that he CAN play point guard in much the same way Doug Christie played "PG". He can bring the ball up the court and then pass to start the offense.

That said I agree with you and do think Vlade and Crew have their eye on some other PG's. Don't be surprised if they are defensive guys who can shoot and don't "move the needle" for many fans:)

It has been a tough decade as a Kings Fan. But things being what they are I think it best to let all the bitterness and frustrations go from the Maloof and early Vivek eras.

I am choosing to Let the new Front Office and Coaching Staff have a clean slate. And you know what? So far they are doing OK in my book:)

I think You and Brick are correct in that Seth's agent is driving this to get the most money for his client, and who can blame him??? As Brick pointed out Tyler Johnson got 50 million!
