Kings to go after Lance Stephenson if Gay leaves?

"Multiple executives from other teams have mentioned the Kings as a potential landing spot if Rudy Gay opts out of his contract,” says Zach Lowe. “But that doesn’t appear to be Gay’s plan. The Kings just spent a lottery pick on Ben McLemore, andYahoo! has reported that they might have their eye on a bigger target — Kevin Love.”

Interesting that Zach Lowe from grantland might have some insider info in regards to his comment about gay's plans.

Well, Lance is very talented. He's also a lunatic. He'd be a risk, that's for sure. He'd either make your team a whole lot better or help you on your way to utter implosion.

No thanks, not unless we sign a few proven vets who can keep this headcase in check.

This fool acted crazy on an ECF team in the playoffs. Imagine a non-playoff team. I like his talent, what he does on the floor and don't mind that he's a bit of an instigator, but you need vets with that personality type on the team. No, Carl Landry doesn't cut it.

If we're willing to consider Stephenson, I'd imagine we'd be willing to entertain the idea of trading for Larry Sanders.

Remember one word ... CHARACTER. I don't see us going after either Sanders or Stephenson for exactly that reason.

We just got rid of Tyreke Evans who is a more calm version of Lance, I still think Tyreke is better than Lance it's just injuries and the team's he played on have held him back while Lance is in a position to shine.

Correct me if im wrong, isn't this the guy that dragged his wife down the stairs by her hair? I like his game although he tends to over dribble. I don't mind his on court demeanor either. However, I can't get behind a guy that physically abuses women.

No. That's Andruw Jones

Despite a major famine at the shooting guard position, NBA teams aren’t salivating at the chance of snagging 23-year-old Lance Stephenson via free agency because of his volatile nature. This a league who has had a storied history of looking the other way when it comes to the volatile and criminal conduct of its players, coaches, broadcasters, and business associates. Because of a rocky morality, too often abhorrent histories have only become a problem for the league when enough people start paying attention.

Some mistakes make it really hard to give a guy a second chance. Lance Stephenson has made one of those kind of mistakes. No thanks.

If the NBA is willing to ban someone for life for what they said in a private conversation, I certainly think that pushing another person down a flight of stairs in anger or any other criminal act should also be greeted with a life time ban. Playing in the NBA is a privilege, not a right. The league does not need violent people in it.

My 2 cents.
