[Game] Kings @ Timberwolves - 11/2/12 - 5pm PDT

This lineup worked because Jimmer is much better off the ball guard than Thomas or Brooks, especially brooks. I don't love Jimmer, but because of his shooting ability he can space the floor and handle a bit. Plus they played with two bigs who don't force anything in Hayes and Thompson. It allowed Evans, and mostly Thornton to find a groove.

Thomas and Brooks needs to figure it out.

Jimmer can play off the ball but he created his own offense with his superb and highly underrated ball handling skills. Come on, what can't you see?

alot of defense is effort and communication, when your being ignored on the offensive end it takes from your defense, when our leaders cuz and reke show bad body language and dont make an attempt to rally the guys then that kills communication.

If Jimmer is our best player, something is really wrong...

Btw: what the hell happened to IT? He's not the player he was last year right now.

You know that thing where teams now focus a little more on you and develop better plans to stop you? That sophomore slump and all? We've all been saying from last season that it wouldn't be as easy for IT this year. It's now on him to prove that he can adjust to how they're playing him.

if the Kings play up to half of their potential in the second half, and Smart doesnt ruin the rotations again, they will win the game

I don't think i can remember us taking a single good shot in the half.... honestly.

There was one good pick and roll play with Jimmer and Chuck at the end there for the floater thats it

there's no movement and no passing, if they can't run plays then commit to something, hell commit to a blazers style ISO offense if need be, just do something

I think this is an excellent point. This is the second straight game that Cousins has just been plagued by foul trouble and taken completely out of the game. He could be the best big in the whole NBA but if he can't stay on the floor or lead the team with a more positive attitude it's not going to help us at all.

We did get some good looks, namely by Travis and Cisco, but they of course bricked them.

We had a throw away season last year when we could have worked on our half court offense... But 6th best offense woot. :) Championship potential.

People tend to do in the future what they have done in the past that's why its hard to make changes to your game, life, coaching style, and so on and that's why its important to start with good habits as early on as possible. This is why the last several coaches have hurt our players games so much because they encouraged or let poor habits form that will never be fixed now. There is a correct way to win or lose with the talent we have and we have lost the wrong way for a long time now and what we see today is the result. Hopefully our talent will still give us a good season cause I don't see the coaching getting us there.

It is so frustrating to watch the rotations. If your best players are having a bad start you don't go to your bench as the solution and forget about the main guys. You have to let them learn how to play their way back into the game. Seriously, IT, the starting point guard plays only 7 minutes in the half? Tyreke plays 13? It's the second game of the season ffs. Let the guys figure it out and play together!

Jimmer is looking good though. Who would have thought that if you let Jimmer be the Jimmer he was is college instead of a pass first PG he'd resemble that Jimmer guy who played at BYU. Strange.

I don't see any legit pick and roll combos on this entire team and if Hayes/Jimmer is your best bet in that set you know you're barking up the wrong tree! Petrie better start thinking up some real doozies that the paper can quote.

They would win the game if Jimmer played a majority of the second half.

tyreeeke...being new here you're going to find that no matter how well Jimmer plays, even if he helps the Kings win several games in a row the majority of this forum will have nothing good to say about him. Most here don't want him on this team so save yourself the grief and not post so much about him. I am a fan and brought here as a BYU fan and I have become a Kings fan but you will find nothing but frustration watching the selfish play and hoping that Jimmer gets a chance to show what he can do. This forum would celebrate if he got traded.

There we go, now they're starting to cut off the ball, that's a way to make up for a lack of shooting.

I can't believe how bad the Wolves are playing, they should have been up by 20 going into half. :p

thats not the problem at all. its the fact that everyone here can see he struggles in the NBA and people come in here, like tyreeeeeeke, acting like Jimmer should be our #1 franchise player
