[Game] Kings @ Thunder - 4/24/12

Maybe Smart just got a text from George. "What are you doing, we need ping pong balls!".

Only explanation for the lineup.

If Francisco Garcia takes another stupid freaking three with lots of time left on the clock, I am quite liable to hurl something large and heavy at my TV. Stupid freaking bench has totally destroyed all the momentum the starters had going. I do not want to see Garcia on the court again. Period.

Well, wouldn't most coaches pull him?

Oh, do not get me started on Coach "Smart" right now. Hey, wait! Garcia is out and Evans is back in????? Holy crap.

BTW? I"m loving Pollard's comments. One of the good guys.

Did he say any interesting? Stuck with OKC broadcast...

Vlade rant part II??? :)

What is really apparent in this game right now is how badly the Thunder are missing James Harden. I have total empathy for how Thunder fans feel, as I'm sure do most Kings fans who lived through that playoff game in Dallas. At least they know that Harden will be back in a few games. We weren't so lucky.

Nah. Cisco has had the ability to drive me nuts since his rookie season. Someone still has one of my quotes about him as part of their signature.

EDIT: It's from Circa_1985_fan:

And you could feel that the crowd wanted to get behind the team and was just waiting for some kind of spark. And that spark was there for just a moment until Cisco peed on it.-VF21

Artest may have single handily lost OKC the title. If Harden doesn't get back soon, they may not have the offense to win.

I know. Cisco pissed on something. :) Ooooops, "peed."

It's bad enough if it's an injury like an ankle, or hand, or (shudder) knee, but to know it's because a freaking repeat offesnder essentially committed an assault on the court has to be almost unbearable.

You literally can chuck it down the court and run .7 seconds off the clock. Who cares if it gets stolen. Why you would pass in to the back court there I have no idea.

That's what players brought in for their leadership and passing do...

He was just very much at ease with Grant and Jerry and enjoying how the starters were playing. At one point, when Hayes made a put-back after some sloppy play, Scot said, "That's a very Pollard-esque move, cleaning up the garbage."

He also said that he will be in attendance at PBP for the game against the Lakers.

OMG - They just had a clip from Coach Smart that totally defies description. And when it was over, Grant and Jerry waxed poetic about what he meant and how it applied to John Stockton and Steve Nash. If they are trying to compare IT to Stockton or Nash, my TV just moved into the "extreme peril" range again.

I may actually reverse my DVR at the next quarter break and listen to Smart's comments again to see if they were as bad as I thought they were.
