Kings talked with a developer last year about moving the team to Vegas

Anaheim, Virginia Beach, Las Vegas, Seattle... I'm sure there's even more cities. Maloofs really love Sacramento huh?

There's at least one more that Carmichael Dave tweeted abour earlier today.... Mexico City! Apparently, they wined and dined the potential owners and brought them to a game in Sacramento. At least they didn't do that with Hansen's group, as far as I know.

And I may be the first to report this, but I have it on good authority that after that Russian dude bought the Nets and helped build the Barclay Center, the Maloofs were close to selling the Kings to a Russian billionaire who wanted to move the team to Moscow, where they would be known as The Tsars. George got cold feet because he was having trouble pronouncing the proposed team name.

All while saying the team is not for sale and they're committed to Sacramento... I would really love to see Sacramento and VB sue them for fraud / negotiating in bad faith - pretending to be interested while in reality they were making deals elsewhere, making the cities waste time, resources and taxpayer money. Wishful thinking, I know...

Along with the many other reasons, surely KJ can also use this to support his case on why the KINGS should stay in SACRAMENTO.

Can you blame the maloofs? The metropolitan allure of Virginia Beach is simply irresistable when it comes to professional sports teams.....?

I can just picture George Maloof hanging out at the bus station: "Hey kid ya wanna buy an NBA franchise?"
