Kings still a draw for advertisers

Seattle has the highest sucide rate per capita, of any city in the united states. If you like seeing the sun only around 70/80 days a year, go for it.

Exactly why I have occasionally pondered moving up there. You sun worshippers are strange beasts. :p

Wish the Maloofs would just sell the team already! They obviously can't afford to own a team, yet cling onto it for dear life. Pretty soon the NEW sponsors will be jumping ship as well. I feel like we'll all stuck in Limbo here in Sacramento. You have a strong avid fan base in Sacramento, yet owners who are broke and want to leave the town , but can't. I need some prozac :)

You rang?

Metro Denver is situated on the high plains at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Moderate temperatures, low levels of humidity, and abundant sunshine provide an ideal climate for year-round activities. Metro Denver has nearly 300 sunny days a year—more annual days of sunshine than either San Diego or Miami Beach.

I've lived in Seattle (4 years) after Boulder/Denver (10 years). I left Seattle a year ago back to a sunny place (Idaho) and it I hadn't realized how depressed I had become for lack of sunshine. Colorado is often overlooked as seriously the sunshine state. It's freakin sunny there. Even in the winter! You can get 60 and sunny/hot feeling days in the middle of January! It's cray!

I've also lived in Hawaii. People don't go there for the rain dude. The difference between Hawaii rain and Seattle rain is that in Seattle you'll get three inches over the course of a week in tiny little droplets like Chinese water torture, where as in Hawaii, it's confined to a rainy season, where it can dump BUCKETS for an hour or so, then make a rainbow, and then go surfing. I think you're mentally ill to compare the two. :)

So as a Seattle fan and arena advocate I read the comments on this thread and I hope that these boards don't degenerate into the two cities taking shots or belittling each other. I can tell you that people in Seattle have huge respect for the fans of the Sacramento and a lot of sympathy for what you are going through. In the end this is a terrible set of circumstances and each city kind of has to fight for itself. We cannot afford to stay out of the game out of sympathy to kings fans and then have Anaheim or VB step in and take one of the rare opportunities for a team.

There is a commitment to honesty and integrity up here. I am going to encourage Seattle fans simply to stay away, not post, not participate because really is there anything we can say that helps the situation? It just seems more respectful because any commentary, even if it is well intentions will most likely simply antagonize fans of Sac.

There are always going to be a few people on both sides who will come in as trolls, baiting and saying stupid stuff. Please remember that those are just idiots on the internet. Their actions are not reflective of the fan base of Seattle or Sacrament. Ignore the trolls. Don't let it degenerate into any more bad feelings between the fan base than is necessary.

Who knows what will happen at this point.
