Kings - Sixers

Smills91

Starter
Kings deal: Brad Miller, Quincy Douby, Beno Udrih
Sixers deal: Andre Miller, Samuel Dalembert

Why for the Kings - Get more defensive, open up cap space for 2009.
Why for the Sixers - Get better fits for their current roster and lower their long term salary a little.

Well, I guess if your willing to go into the off season without a starting pt guard, unless you consider Brown such, I can see the logic of the deal. We would have Miller for the rest of the year, and I guess there's always the possiblity of resigning him on the cheap. Which I doubt.

My problem is with Dalembert. I would have loved this trade two years ago when his future looked very promising. Right now, my gut tells me that what you see is what you get. I haven't seen much improvement from him in the last two years. Could be, that this is as good as he will get, or it could be the lack of putting in the time. Don't know.

The thing is. If this is as good as he's going to get, then I think he's being overpaid. Just my opinion, and some who value what he brings defensively, and are willing to ignore some of his flaws may disagree. So I guess that whatever disagreement I have with the trade, has more to do with him and what he's being paid, than what were giving up.
