His performance last night was better than any game IJ has had at the NBA level for whatever that’s worth.Dude has looked pretty solid as the back up 4. He’s big, strong and solid on defense.
So why did Mr. Perry and Mr. Armstrong waste the whole summer pursuing one Jonathan Kuminga?Dude has looked pretty solid as the back up 4. He’s big, strong and solid on defense.
Because a Keegan/Kuminga/Precious forward rotation is better than a Keegan/Precious/literally no one rotation? So why did Mr. Perry and Mr. Armstrong waste the whole summer pursuing one Jonathan Kuminga?

Achiuwa could have been signed earlier, been in touch with other team members and the coaching staff, and gone through the entire training camp. It would have helped. The phrase "fixing the plane while it's in the air" comes to mind.No time was wasted.
It was widely known that Kuminga was the preferred target. I don't even think Achiuwa was on the front office's radar until after the Kuminga deal fell through.Achiuwa could have been signed earlier, been in touch with other team members and the coaching staff, and gone through the entire training camp. This feels like revisionist history bordering on an alternate universe. Don’t you think Keegan’s injury played a major role in the Achiuwa signing? If Keegan had been healthy, the team might have looked different, and IJ might have been fine as a backup instead of forcing an emergency move for Achiuwa?Achiuwa could have been signed earlier, been in touch with other team members and the coaching staff, and gone through the entire training camp. Actually, I advocated for taking a look at Achiuwa early in the summer. I do not have a large database with infometrics on all the players in the NBA, but surely the Kings' front office does. But they did not even bring him in for a tryout, so far as I can tell. Yes, they moved in that direction only after Keegan's injury. But nothing stopped them from doing so earlier. He did not sign a training camp contract with Miami until September 24.This feels like revisionist history bordering on an alternate universe.
