Kings Showed Heart But...

...lets face it, did not deserve to win. It takes a more complete team effort to win on the road in the playoffs against NBA champs.

Bonzi plays friggin awesome again, his best effort ever as King, Artest plays for a quarter, and no one else really does jack. They made it exciting, hung tough, but didn't have enough.

Could someone tell me how Shareeef could have such good footwork offensively, and so woeful and anemic footwork defensively?!!! Is he even trying???! ! We may as well stick a mannequin or blow up doll in his place on defense b/c an inanimate object would provide about the same level of defensive resistance....

NONE!

And whenever Jason Hart is in the game, it is not a question of win or losing, it is a question of losing, losing bad, or losing very bad. Gimmeee a break!!!
We could not beat the Bobcats with him on the court, let alone the World Champs.

And Bibby please....if you are not going to bring your "A" game, bring your "B" game, bring something besides I don't know what.

Overall though I am not discouraged and neither will be the Kings...the guys will brush off this game pretty easily...get their rest, make adjustments, and should return to the Alamo with one more crack at it.

And one more optimistic point of view: we are not fans of the Grizzlies or Nuggets or witness to those pathetic performances....Kings have played more than respectable since Game 1 which is a lot more than those teams can say.

yeah, very true. started the game sort of sloppy.. didn't really go that well for the remainder of the game. i hope we can put this behind and start fresh on Friday. tough game.

I also think that we were relying on the jumper way to much. They were taking some things away from Bonzi but it was basically one pass then a shot. No team work thim game.

Your post was great to about that point.

I think there comes a time when we all have to say "HEY THE SPURS ARE JUST BETTER THEN US"

There is a reason the other players are having trouble and it has to do with the Spurs. This so far is a great series lets see what happens next game, no need to jump off the wagon now!

GO KINGS! guess my Kings in 6 prediction didn't happen ! :)

I don't think that we are in the mood for this tonight. Let's sleep over it first

Who is the "we" of which you speak?

I think bench_blob brought up some excellent points.

i thought the kings played awesome tonight except for maybe the last 2 minutes. even down 14, they kept drawing closer and closer, not letting the spurs scores bring them down. i can tell you that i was sweating bullets, and will continue until somebody wins the series.

did you know the kings had 11 steals? it seemed the defense was more geared to preventing shots than making shots difficult, but that seemed really effective until the end when the spurs took better care of the ball.

Miller needs to see Bob Knight, perhaps he can show Miller what he is playing like... I really hope that we dont lose game 6. The Spurs will come out guns a-blazing.
