Greetings fellow Kings fans!
Boy, talk about mixed feelings. I hate teams from Texas. Always have and most likely always will. BUT, as anyone who was here before the year that shall not be named well knows, I have always had the utmost respect and admiration for one Rick Adelman. So, when he steps onto the court of Arco from the wrong tunnel, I'll probably sigh, remember how much he brought us, and then hope he truly gets the signs of appreciation he deserves from the Arco faithful. Then I'll sigh again... and hope our kids can leave the Rockets on the launch pad.
This is an important game, but not because of Adelman or the Rockets. It's an important game because of the KINGS themselves and their coaches. We saw a team meltdown against the Warriors and a depressing lack of team play that resulted in way too many one-on-one plays, jump shots from midrange or further, etc. What we need to see against the Rockets is a team that shows the TRUST they're supposed to be developing in each other and in Coach Theus.

It's very cold up here in the forest tonight, but still no sign of the much-needed rain and snow. It's hard to believe it's already December when people are still walking around during the day in t-shirts. Usually this time of year it's all about sweaters, sweatshirts, flannel shirts, etc.
I replenished my supply of Gevalia French Vanilla coffee and, in honor of the season, even stocked up on some old-fashioned peppermint sticks to add. I have the requisite purple slippers AND I'll be cooking up a crockpot full of GARLIC chowder. I'm doing my part.
On a totally unrelated note, I mentioned in my PBP of the Warriors game that it was annoying as heck to hear the odd GSW fan shouting "Let's go, Warriors!" I honestly think we need to come up with a rhythmic chant for our Kings as Arco can really be rocking when it's time to chant "DE-FENSE" but then immediately fall totally and completely silent when the Kings have possession of the ball. I can remember chanting "Lets go Kings!" back in the day, but no one seems to do it any more. Maybe we should start a KF movement to bring it back?
So, on that note...
LET'S GO KINGS!!!
