We are playing bad, bad defense. Just fundamental things not happening like not fighting over screens, not stopping the ball in transition, etc.

We are also playing bad offense aside from a couple bright spots like Heurter and some Malik. There is no rhythm, little motion aside from a few pick and rolls, just no cohesion at all. And overall just bad decision making.

This is a lot uglier basketball than I thought I was going to be watching at any point this year.

Yeah, it's pretty clear a push for defense has to be coming from a roster standpoint as much as a philosophical one. Getting to that middle rung on defense can't be at the expense of the identity.

so I guess they took the "make them feel you" approach Mike was asking for, next phase is to do it without fouling but even then, when you try to turn a whole lot of offensive minded players into defenders, it's just not realistic expectations

This is awfully concerning. Offense is less quick, efficient and freeflowing than last year. Defense is as bad as usual. Keegan is trying to do too kuch.
