[Game] Kings @ Pelicans, 2/1/21, 5pm PST, 8pm EST, Beer o'Clock Nawlins Time

I'm sure I'll get blasted for this but I'm not a fan at all. Way too many cheesy lines. I don't think he really cares about the Kings. Feels like I'm listening to an ESPN broadcast most of the time. Talks way too much about the opposing players.

I miss Grant and Jerry and their Homerism.
Boooooooo. Only thing I miss is the if you don't like that phrase. Everything else is an upgrade. Was so sick of grant agreeing with every bad call. Good riddance

Game ball to DA Fox. I told you he is already there. His drives in the fourth quarter were money.
The Kings won every category except turnovers.
They did not shoot it very well, but won with defense. Great job on Ingram and the Big Guy.
I like the game by Mr. Holmes and Mr. Barnes.

You've got to keep in mind the announcers aren't in the arena. They are watching feeds from Sacramento. That's why we're getting some of these confused calls.

I saw the ref on the screen too. Jones called it a 3 and I'm like wtf the ref has his hand down. Then he says something like they called it a 2 its hard to see their feet.

Blasted!

I loved Grant and Jerry too. But that is the past. And it is OVER.

Doug and Mark Jones are already fun together. Wait until they have the roar of the crowd behind them, a little more chemistry and M Jones gets to know an opened up Sac. This is going to be a great crew.

My bet is Jones will be short term PBP. I could see it only being 1 year, but most likely when his daughter leaves San Jose he will be gone too.

Another good, not great, performance. But that’s certainly a big positive considering where this team was before the Knicks game.

Swipa was phenomenal. Love that he’s shooting threes in volume, with confidence, and with more arc.

He’s so freaking fast and under control that sometimes he doesn’t look like he’s going that fast. But clearly blowing past would be defenders.

In Q4 it looked like he was set at 45 rpm‘s while the Pels defense was at 33 1/3.

Not so much dislike from me, but I just find it weird how he says the game or score is "knotted" rather than the usual "tied"

Where would we have been if a couple/few of those HB 3’s didn’t go in? Our silent hero from last night, Fox is going to get all the credit but if Harrison didn’t score like he was doing to keep us in it we might not have had what it took to pull out the W

Could be the best game the Kings have played this year. Winning teams figure out how to win when the shots are not falling. They won with defense, rebounding, and layups. Fox has been playing at an all-star level for awhile now. Last night was in a new category. His leadership is growing by the week. He takes on the best in the League. Bagley who? Mista Holmes got 6 blocks.

Coach Luke did some good work during the break. Coach Rex is stepping up the defense.
Anyone that thinks that Fox won the game with threes, needs to watch the game again.

Preaching to the choir here bro. I created a thread re: HB‘s solid play this season not all that long ago. We clearly agree on his impact, this one game just being another example.

Circling back to Swipa, it’s hard not to give him the lions share of the credit, though, when he scores 17 consecutive points during the critical stretch of Q4 and outscored the Pels by himself.

The thing that especially impressed me about HB last night is that he made his contributions after literally not getting a shot up in 10 min of 1st quarter play. 0 shots, few touches at all offensively in the 1st, but he went on to score 18 in the middle two quarters and added 6 early in the 4th. Not easy, especially for someone who isn't a primary/secondary ball handler, to turn it on like he did after a start like that..
