Kings might not be a good team or even a playoffs contender but they sure do own the Pistons who might win it all. All in all Kings deserved to get the road win of the season beating the benchless Pistons to improve to 16-22 and 5-13 on the road. Kings are only the 4th team that has beaten Pistons in Detroit. Kings have been playing .500 ball as of late (last 10) and if You are crazy enough to be making PO plans - we are 6 games out of the 8th spot. Kings are 1:1 on this trip with a back to back night tomorrow in Indianapolis. After that Kings won't leave the West for a month.

The bench is obviously as potent as You will ever find and playing other teams benches - no contest there. It would be great if it lasted long but it won't because there are 3 starters on it and they want to start - make no mistake about it. Tonight it was a slight 58-5 edge and it is almost impossible to make that up unless the starters play insane. We had 8 guys playing between 20-40 minutes and that would be good if it wasn't obvious all it is going on is that the 3 bench players play reverse roles with 3 starters ending up playing more minutes and being more productive. It happened again that 3 bench players all had at least 5 more FGAs than the next starter. Thus - this whole game is a formality and it won't last long because some guys are already dropping their production drastically. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Being a Kings fan over the last 9-10 years - I have reached a high level of being traumatized. When Kevin went to the locker room - my first thought wasn't - "let's hope that he will be fine." My first though was "let's hope it will only be 4-6 weeks instead of 8-12 weeks." I can't help it. When I see something like that - I don't even want to watch the game anymore because it lost a purpose. And being traumatized - I can't even finish my thought process. When Kevin came back - I was very relieved and I was thinking - is this a sign of our luck turning or..." I did not finish the thought and neither should You.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
John Salmons went form an MIP and a stud to a KT type player in only 2 games. Surely, he can't be happy with his role being reduced together with his minutes, touches and production. He needs to adjust at least until some of the guys are gone and it needs to happen now because we need him. He can't worry about things that he isn't controlling anyways. He needs to make the best of his opportunity. He needs to stay active and aggressive despite everything. and it isn't easy because he is human and he probably feels "under appreciated" right now. Again - we need him in a bad way and he has shown what he can give us. Hopefully things settle down and he finds his comfort zone again.

I don't know what happen when Ron and the bench got on each other at that point in the game and I don't care. Whatever it was - Ron shouldn't reacted the way he did but since that is the first time that ever happened with Ron
and and it won't happen again and we are overreacting anyways - right ? Except that things will probably get worse from here. Ron isn't a team player and he never was. In his mind he should be the MVP anyways and not coming of the bench and be a "role" player. I thing that Ron would be a better player if he wore another uniform just because we don't have to deal with this crap worrying about how many ticks is left in a bomb before ...

Let's focus on something more positive for a moment. Brad Miller has been good all season long and he continues to do well regardless of the circumstances. He is our best passer and one of the few Kings that create for others. He has been rebounding better and scoring more and that shouldn't change just because we got the guys back. He needs to stay like this. He has been playing too much as of late and we know that Brad has the tendency to "fall apart" as the season progresses. Now, we have some big guys who aren't ready yet but they will never be if they don't get experience. And if Mikki continues to dominate they way he has been as of late - we could be in big trouble.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite the good win tonight - it is too obvious that we need to make trades and soon before the whole situation becomes a problem. From that standpoint - it is great to see that out trade assets are gaining on value. Now all we need is some desperate suckers to get them to the cleaners. Unless, of course our "big heads" are on drugs strong enough to create the delusion called post season which could make us not only waste this season but maybe even next.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well in the first quarter Pistons looked like a team that will have an easy blowout night. They got 10 pt lead and stopped playing. They had no bench whatsoever and that was the difference. We shot it well we finally had 2-1 assists to turnover ratio and our rebounding was close enough. It was a good win but I don't think that Pistons gave us all they got which is their problem.

AWARD TIME
No TDM award was given tonight.
LW-VC went to Sheed who looked as good as Mikki
RA&1 award went to the Pistons bench for making RA proud.
Mikki gets the JHA award yet again and it needs no explanation
Salmons gets the SAR - Methuselah award for taking another night off
WTF moment of the game goe to Ron Artest

Pacers are next and we lost to them at ARCO not that long ago. Our biggest problem will be fatigue since it is back to back game. Pacers have been resting for couple of days. They are 18-22 and only 9-9 at home. If we can play like tonight and take care of the ball we will be in there. Ron playing in Indiana is always an X factor so we might have to watch for that. Last time when we played them their shooting killed us so we should skip the zone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - scare the hell out of me kid
Mike - numbers are good
Ron - shut up, just shut up
Brad - I like it
Mikki - booooooooooo
Salmons - wake up
Cisco - need more
Beno - soli
rest - mateen
coach T - you have to solve this quickly

Pacers haven't been playing well. They lost 9/12 and some of them weren't pretty. We have seen them recently and they can be dangerous. Jo won't have as bad of a game as he had last time. Diener is my TDM favorite. LW-VC this time on Tinsley. Anything possible.
