Brad Miller played at an extremely high level during the past week, and he was rewarded by the NBA on Monday by being named the Western Conference Player of the Week. The Kings' center averaged 24 points and shot 68.3 percent from the field during the team's 3-1 week, including two victories on its recent three-game road trip. He also averaged 12 rebounds and had a stretch spanning two games in which he made 15 consecutive field-goal tries.

Miller said that isn't a coincidence.
"Big guys are always told, 'Help, help, help, help,' " he said, "and I just try to take advantage of that. It's something I've worked on real hard, 15-to 18-foot jump shots. I've played with real good post guys in Jermaine (O'Neal) and Elton (Brand), so I've stayed with it.
"That's how I've learned to play like that. I was never going to get posted with those guys in there."
Webber, Peja updates - It probably can be accurately assessed that Chris Webber's regular-season playing status might be day-to-day throughout Game 82. The power forward has missed five of the Kings' 43 games this season, all because of soreness and/or left knee swelling resulting from the June 10, 2003, surgery and subsequent rehabilitation.
Before Sunday afternoon's contest in Minneapolis, Peja Stojakovic was on the court putting up shots - a positive sign for the Kings. The small forward missed his first three games of the season because of back spasms but could return to action tonight.
Stojakovic and Webber were listed in the preliminary starting lineup.
Hit the road - After tonight's game against the Seattle SuperSonics at Arco Arena, the Kings will play 12 of their next 16 games on the road.
Since losing their first four road games this season, including a blowout by the Sonics in Seattle, the Kings have won 12 of 16 and not lost back-to-back games away from Arco.
The Kings have won four straight over the Sonics at Arco, but Seattle has played well this season and owns a 14-7 mark away from home.
