Kings New Uniforms!!!!

Looks like the NBA is releasing a set us Christmas uniforms for each team. I actually really like them!

You can find the rest of the teams and a nice write up by the UniWatch guys here: http://www.uni-watch.com/2014/07/16/uni-watch-exclusive-nba-xmas-day-unis-and-a-whole-lot-more/

Edit: I guess they release uniforms like this for teams each year, but those not playing on Christmas will never wear them. Too bad. I liked the Kings uniform better than most out of those.

These definitely kick the crap out of the sleeved Christmas abominations from last season.

hm, i'm not a big fan of pairing the most recent number font with the more classic logo font, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. i can't fully express just how much i hated the team name font of the last... decade? how long has it been since the kings last used their traditional logo font on the front of their jerseys?

It doesn't seem right to put the gold championship tab on our jerseys when the only franchise championship is two cities removed from the current one. But then the whole idea is silly to begin with.

That's what that stupid thing is? Geez.

definitely silly. i feel like only the defending champs should have a championship mark on their jersey. so the Spurs this year

Looks like they switched to that font in 03-04

man... so it has been over a decade!! and while a great team once wore those jerseys, it's the craptastic teams and penny-pinching maloofery that followed that i most associate with those jerseys. i'll be quite glad to see "KINGS" splayed across the chest in a more classic typeface as we approach next season. hopefully it will serve as a symbolic return to a more respectable level of play. gimme at least 41 wins, please...

I made a bet with a buddy recently. I made the bold move of predicting a minimum 40 wins, hovering around .500. That may be wishful thinking, but I'm sticking with it.

I hate that gold tab thing they implemented for championships. In theory, one day every team will have one of these gold tabs.

2 years ago, I bet my best buddy that the Kings were going to win a championship within the next 10 years. Hopefully it doesn't come out to be a foolish idea (I hope we at least come close so even if I lose the bet I can still keep some respect).

Yea not only does it look dumb on the jersey, but it's completely dumb for every team that has ever won to have one. it would be a lot better if they only did it for the defending champs every season

I like that neither says Sacramento because I think the name is just too long to look good on a jersey (or, at least it would be hard to make it look good).

Now that the team is not leaving I'm okay with that too. And as shown in the photo above with Stauskas and McGary, when you have to change the font and/or font size to fit the city on the jersey it's not a good look.
