[Game] Kings @ Magic, 1/27/2021, 4pm PST, 7pm EST

Is he really that behind in his development that he can only get garbage minutes on this Magic team?

I think Mo is one of those players that may need a change of scenery to further develop his game and fundamentals. It didn't work out so well for Okafor but there are teams out there that can take a flier on him if the Magic are willing to part with him for a low cost, which considering his lack of playing time indicates just that

Considering the Magic are apparently in win now mode, I’d call them up and see if they’d bite on a Hassan for Bamba trade.

I don't have much faith in the Kings developing players from another lottery team but I definitely would love to see Monte try anyway to bring him along and maybe he turns into something useful

The Kings player development department is actually its strong point right now. Rico Hines isn’t a slouch and he’s got three assistants helping him on that end largely separate from Luke’s own coaching staff. Marvin’s even shown some quick improvement now that he’s healthy enough to play.

Need to see a bigger sample size here in order to call it a Kings strong point but there is no doubt that players have shown flashes and improvement. One example that comes to mind is Holmes. He wasn't this good in Philly or Phoenix.

Yet somehow he's giving up 60% on shot attempts against him, dead last in the nba.

I'd love to see a proper breakdown of these shots, whether it's a factor of him being switched onto bigs, or always being the guy closing out on 3s in the defensive rotation, the guy back on fast breaks after a quick Fox attempted layup or TO etc. Because in terms of one-on-one defense he has definitely not been getting beat to the tune of "dead last in the NBA"
