Kings-Lakers PBP for Dec. 9

Greetings, fellow Kings fans.

Early reports are there are lots of Laker fans in Arco, and who can blame them? I'm just hoping the Kings we see take the court tonight play like it matters...

I'm not making any promises about tonight's PBP. If the team shows heart and hustle, I'll stick with it to the very end - win or lose. If, on the other hand, they play like they'd rather be at the dentist, I'll most likely abandon the thread and just watch the game in silence.

We don't have a bad team, per se. What we have are some pieces that haven't quite fit together and an abysmal lack of anything resembling a cohesive game plan. Yes, the "system" Joe and Gavin Maloof have both been desperate to see.

I really want to see the team come out and play like a team, despite the overwhelming odds against them. I want to see them get the Kings faithful on their feet repeatedly to applaud effort and energy. In all honesty, though, I just don't know if they've got it in them right now.

But hope springs eternal.

From what my friend in Arc has said, the place is crawling with Laker fans to the point where the Lakers were cheered when they came out for warm-ups and the Kings were booed.



If nothing else, I certainly hope the Kings make a game of it.

I'm very pleased with our team, and - for the most part - with the substitutions. Hawes, Greene and Jason have had quality time thus far and I'm very glad to see it.

In addition, John Salmons is definitely Kobe Bryant's worse nightmare. He does a great job of covering him...
